4.7
#3 of 33 in Theme Parks in Tennessee
Theme Park Water / Amusement Park
With almost 2 km (more than 1 mi) of track, Smoky Mountain Alpine Coaster is the longest downhill ride in the United States. The gravity-driven rollercoaster features bobsled-style cars that you can control. Lay off the brakes if you want to reach speeds of up to 43 km/h (27 mph). If you're not going too fast, you'll see great views of Smoky Mountains as you speed along the track. Ride alone, or share the thrill with a partner. Ask about ticket packages for families. • We used Groupon and saved about $5 per person. If you save you receipt and tickets, you can return at night for $8 per person for a fun night ride. The kids really enjoyed this attraction.  more »
  • By far the best mountain side coaster in Sevier County. Staff is always great, however they seem to be short handed sometimes with staffing. The best time is at night when all the LED lights are on.  more »
  • So much fun!!! Not only is it a blast, the customer service is fantastic. Shoutout to Justin for showing us how great this facility's customer service is!  more »

  • Awesome place. This is a must for everyone. My 14 year old daughter and I rode this coaster 5 times. Why? Re-rides on the same day are half price. You have to ride after it gets dark and the lights are on. Don't forget the $2 off ticket(one coupon for each rider) in coupon books. You can ride double, too if you don't exceed the weight limit. Read the website or all the signs before you asked the ticket lady a whole bunch of questions. Awesome staff. Everyone was friendly and helpful.
  • One of the few places in Pigeon Forge that doesn't gouge you as a consumer. It's well worth every penny and re-rides are cheap if you go same day. Photos of the experience are reasonably priced and so are T-shirts if you buy multiples of both. As far as the ride experience, I rode it twice. It's so much fun and that's coming from a traditional coaster enthusiast. It's not that steep, doesn't have any huge drops, it's plenty fast enough but not too fast for those that are overwhelmed by speed and this coaster gives a great ride experience. Perfect for the whole family. If your kid can ride a bike, this is way easier than that. Would definitely do again and again.
  • This was the best fun we have had in years! It is a fast, fun, safe ride and YOU control your speed but I let it go full out and had such fun. If you go during the day, your ticket is good for a half price ride at night which is what we did. They have it lit up with colored lights and it was even more awesome at night. When we go back to TN, we will definitely come here again!
  • This was a blast! Honestly a lil scary flying around those turns, but e views are great. I loved the trip up, sit back and enjoy. We rode on a rainy day, the attendant put on our rain shields and we stayed dry and comfortable! A must try for any adventure seeker. The staff was nice, ticket booth line was pretty fast and loading was pretty fast. Cars were new, grounds were clean.
  • We saw this place when we were driving to our resort and went over to check it out. It looked really neat at night with all the lights. We went back the next night to ride. They were super friendly there! We arrived 20 minutes before closing and they still let us ride. We rode together and had so much fun we wanted to ride again. They were nice enough to let us go one more time even though they were closed. It is a very exciting ride! You can go so fast!! It is so worth it. You can go slower if you want to, but it will go super fast. It is almost scary to go that fast, but once you do it, you won't regret it! It is a great attraction for families with kids or couples. We even found a Groupon and they matched the price.
