  • 4 stars that need to be explained. Make sure you read this. This attraction is called parrot mountain for a reason, it's on the side of a mountain! If you have trouble walking up steep inclines or get out of breath easily, consider yourself warned. Also, this place is VERY Christian. They don't shove it down your throat and the staff don't say much other than "have a blessed day" but there are religious symbols and statues throughout. If Christianity offends you, you might want to skip this. Other than that, the place is gorgeous and they have a lot of beautiful birds with lots of interaction. If you're into birds, you are going to love this place.
  • Absolutely the perfect place to see! Heaven on earth for sure. The staff is so helpful & sweet. Make the trip up the mountain & you will not be disappointed. The birds are amazingly friendly & a joy to feed. This place is a peaceful retreat from the fast pace of town.
  • Wow!! That is the only word to describe Parrot Mountain. My daughter had knee surgery a week ago so we rented a golf cart. The driver was so nice. He never rushed us. The nursery was so sweet. The lady that worked in the nursery was so nice. She told us details about each bird and their demeanor. We loved the area where you were able to feed the birds small cups of nectar. Even though this area was popular and busy we were allowed to stay until all of the food was gone. As you exit is where you can feed some of the other birds (the ones that don't bite- they have each one marked for your safety). I loved that you are able to interact with such beautiful birds! Thank you Parrot Mountain!!!!
  • This was an awesome experience! Then knowing how Parrot Mountain became a reality from one man' s faith and the dream God gave him just touched my heart so much. The gardens throughout are so pretty now at this time of the year. There are hundreds of plants and flowers everywhere. The exotic birds are gorgeous and there are hundreds of them as well. There are places to feed the birds and you can also have your picture taken with several of them perched on your arms, head and in your hands. Loved this. What I loved so much were the many bible scriptures throughout the gardens and the prayer garden. There were a lot of people there with their children who appeared to be enjoying themselves a lot. I would highly recommend this place to everyone. We certainly enjoyed it very much.
  • This is definitely a very unique experience to be had in this area, but it does have its down falls. First off, the price. $20+ to look at birds. Wow! I haven't even entered and I'm already not feeling good about this. While it's to tell from the outside, the place is actually quite large. Without a doubt, the birds were beautiful. They try to spread them across the entire garden to make use of the space, but it kind of ends up giving an eerie sort of vibe. For example, you'll find birds in far corners of the park, and there will be a large cage, but only one bird inside. I found myself feeling kind of bad for them because they're all alone and there's no other birds or people to interact with. Additionally, there was quite a number of birds that didn't have any signs with descriptive information on them. Although I'm very good at identifying many different North American bird species, these birds are all exotic, so tracking down what kind of bird they are can be extremely frustrating. Another note I feel I should mention is that this park is VERY Christian. Every time you turn a corner you get assaulted by a myriad of Bible verses. I know this would probably trigger many of you guys.
