Dollywood, Pigeon Forge
(4.1/5 based on 11,000+ reviews on the web)
Dollywood sits in the verdant foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Owned by country singer Dolly Parton, the venue offers standard amusement park thrill rides, as well as attractions with traditional crafts and music of this region. The park frequently features musical events, with regular appearances by Dolly herself. You can choose from ten themed areas packed with roller coasters, rafting rides, craft exhibits, carousels, water-toboggan rides, and live shows. The park's signature attraction is a narrow-gauge train pulled by two steam locomotives. Try to plan for a stop at the museum dedicated to gospel music. It has an interactive video and sound clips, plus thousands of items belonging to the genre's biggest names. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Pigeon Forge holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Dollywood and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • This a great family based amusement park. There are rides for all ages. It is a very clean and fun oriented place. There are many shows that will wow just as much as the rides. I have been going here since I was just s kid and I still love it. Dolly adds a new ride every year. In 2016 she added the Lightning Rod which is the fastest wooden coaster in the world! This place is truly amazing. Currently they are having their Smoky Mountain Christmas so be sure to check out the lights!
  • Hands down the best place on earth. I LOVE Dollywood and I have told everyone that I know that they need to go! We had a blast riding all the rollar coasters! One thing that stood out to me was how friendly, nice, and accommodating everyone who worked at Dollywood was. I love the eagle rescue and sanctuary they have there as well. Such a wonderful thing they do.
  • Huge, busy, very well maintained theme park. Lots of fun things for kids, and shows for those who enjoy live country themed music, musicals, and variety shows. Several really solid roller coasters for the bigger kids. We went in November, dressed for the cooler morrning and were perfectly comfortable during the day and not all hot and sweaty. Crowds were much less at this time as well.
  • This place is so much fun. Not just fun for children but for adults. There is something fun for all ages...from some of the best Blue Grass and Gospel Music, to some of the most fun rides you will ever get on. This is a clean descent place to take your kids. You will have a wonderful time!
  • My family loves Dollywood! The season pass is a great deal. The gold pass will get you free parking and extra discounts. It's well worth it to get one gold pass in your family because it can be used for everyone to buy meals and things. The rides are great and they have a phone app to help you know the line times. Saturday is usually the busiest day so if you can get out there Sunday thru Thursday, you'll get the most bang for your buck. Try riding the Wild Eagle at night. That is super fun! The new Lightning Rod ride is quite epic as well
