Water Park Theme Park
Dollywood sits in the verdant foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Owned by country singer Dolly Parton, the venue offers standard amusement park thrill rides, as well as attractions with traditional crafts and music of this region. The park frequently features musical events, with regular appearances by Dolly herself. You can choose from ten themed areas packed with roller coasters, rafting rides, craft exhibits, carousels, water-toboggan rides, and live shows. The park's signature attraction is a narrow-gauge train pulled by two steam locomotives. Try to plan for a stop at the museum dedicated to gospel music. It has an interactive video and sound clips, plus thousands of items belonging to the genre's biggest names. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Pigeon Forge holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Dollywood and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • I wasn't looking forward to going to 'another' amusement park. I'm so glad I did! This park is wonderful in that it's well designed, very clean and maintained. The staff was friendly and seemed to really be enjoying their jobs. That was refreshing! There were many things to enjoy for varying age levels. I also loved that they employed young and old. Great park!
  • Great family fun. Very friendly, prompt and courteous staff, I never once saw one the staff on a cell phone. The "time ahead pass" is well worth it if you plan on riding lots of rides. Lots of good food, I wish I lived closer so we could have season passes. The park was very clean and well maintained. The train ride makes me give this place a four star instead of a 5, if you ride the train be prepared to get coal soot on your clothes and some blow back in you eyes if you sit in the front cars of the train. Make sure to catch a show or two while you are there also.
  • I have a daughter who is autistic and Dollywood is definitely autistic friendly location. Not only did they have a disability pass to make it easier to get on and off the rides. They also have a quite room in case of sensory overload. Equipped with weighted blankets, as other calming tools for autistic children. They also allow service dogs along with locations for the service dog to use the bathroom throughout the park. All of this along with very awesome and professional services. Love this place.
  • This is such a fun place to go. Just walking around the park is an enjoyment. I personally liked the candy store. And I really loved how kind the staff was, no matter where you went! A family friendly place, with awesome rides, and also the entire park is EXCEPTIONALLY clean! I definitely recommend!
  • Great admission special AND next day free, really gives you a chance to enjoy yourself. No real need for access pass as the lines moved swiftly. The attendants are truly nice and love their jobs. Great value all the way around.
