Water Park Theme Park
Dollywood sits in the verdant foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. Owned by country singer Dolly Parton, the venue offers standard amusement park thrill rides, as well as attractions with traditional crafts and music of this region. The park frequently features musical events, with regular appearances by Dolly herself. You can choose from ten themed areas packed with roller coasters, rafting rides, craft exhibits, carousels, water-toboggan rides, and live shows. The park's signature attraction is a narrow-gauge train pulled by two steam locomotives. Try to plan for a stop at the museum dedicated to gospel music. It has an interactive video and sound clips, plus thousands of items belonging to the genre's biggest names. For travelers who use our world travel planner, Pigeon Forge holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the Dollywood and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • Nice amusement park. Some wait times for lines but that is to be expected. I liked the fact that I could buy a souvenir cup and get it refilled throughout the park. the ice cream was great.  more »
  • Checked out the new ride at Dollywood. Drop line. Two thumbs up! But not for anybody afraid of heights. The ride is over 200 feet high!  more »
  • This is always a fun place to go. They keep adding more attractions, and the shops and restaurants are always so unique. There's something to do all day long and the staff members are always so friend...  more »

  • I have a daughter who is autistic and Dollywood is definitely autistic friendly location. Not only did they have a disability pass to make it easier to get on and off the rides. They also have a quite room in case of sensory overload. Equipped with weighted blankets, as other calming tools for autistic children. They also allow service dogs along with locations for the service dog to use the bathroom throughout the park. All of this along with very awesome and professional services. Love this place.
  • What's not to love about Dollywood?! Best amusement Park food outside of Disney, better if you like barbecue. Great rides and old fashioned feel, guess I get nostalgic... Thunderhead is the best wooden coaster I've ever been on!
  • Pros - A variety of rides for all ages. - Specialty shops sell both child and adult aged souvenirs, including quality home decor. - Inexpensive for an amusement park (tickets, food, & souvenirs). - Staff are friendly, the shows/music are worth seeing, and the overall atmosphere is a delight. - Food served at the restaurants is good but make sure you get on the waiting list early when lunch time approaches. - Crowds aren't bad unless you are going during the busy season. I aim for weekdays. Cons - People smoke in nonsmoking areas. I've heard this is a TN thing and I don't know if people are merely ignorant or just apathetic but neither are a good excuse. For someone with asthma, holding a baby, this can be VERY frustrating.
  • So much to do and see at Dollywood. Great entertainment venues, fun rides for all ages. They have a fast pass system in place. Consider it. My wife and daughter waited 40 minutes to ride the tornado. However they thought the ride was worth the wait The Staff is extremely nice and accommodating and the whole area is very military friendly.
  • Lots of coasters! Lots of great artisan shops! I had an absolute blast on the rides here, more fun than even some parks in my state of Florida. There is a row of shops with artisans ranging from blacksmiths and pottery to candle making and glassblowing and it was neat to talk to all the people actually working on their craft and to see the kinds of shops they ran there.
