  • Every first Friday of the month it's completely free to visit this awesome museum. I go every so often and it's always fantastic, with new pieces, or ones I don't remember. There are always great new exhibits. Really a thought provoking beautiful space in the middle of a bustling metropolitan area.
  • Stopped here for an hour stayed all day. Sat in the two Kentridge exhibits for hours. They will consume you looking for every detail and wondering how they accomplished some of the effects. Everything art you love to love and love to hate. Go ahead and see it anyway, you might learn to love it. Except maybe for the sandbag. Is it a sandbag or is it art? It's art. Loved: Stillness in Motion - Cloud Cities Loved: Fisher collection....
  • Absolutely amazing collection of some of the coolest pieces of art. Came in late on a Wednesday and there was free admission since the museum was about to close. Note that Wednesday has expanded hours. I highly recommend the special exhibit and some of the modern art pieces were amazing. It's easy to spend over 2 hours here.
  • Awesome museum. Its almost big enough to get lost for a little while in. I love the firefly room though. My favorite place to hide.
  • Very nice! That's how it starts to be in a new city going through a new museum. And it continued throughout. Very nice. The design was not conducive to really flow, but there are several niches to be able to sit and relax and just absorb. The contemporary wing has some gorgeous installations, and I could have spent hours in the "Firefly" light installation. Hooked on that one. Dissapointed though that a main gallery was in transition, and many stairwells were closed for what seemed no reason. I am looking forward to becoming a member and seeing new shows as they are presented.
