  • This is the sight of the first land battle of the civil war. The bridge is always undergo some type of repair, but is a definate must see if you are in this area.  more »
  • It's a bridge in a park. Maybe a 10 minute stop at the most with a museum at the other end it holds some of West Virginia's civil war heritage still used every day.  more »
  • This is the largest covered bridge I've been through, one of the oldest and largest in wv.
  • Closed for through traffic as of 29 Aug 2015 due to renovation, but you can still get decent pictures, and on an early Saturday morning there was no one around, affording the opportunity to walk through the bridge from the town-side and take pictures of the interior without getting run over.
