Where to stay in Philadelphia

Most of Philadelphia's hotels cluster around the compact city center, ensuring quick and easy access to major tourist sights and activities. The only drawback to staying in this area is the lack of free parking, so if you're exploring by car, considering booking into a bed and breakfast in one of the city's residential blocks. Visitors planning on longer stays can also consider several apartment hotels, offering spacious furnished units with complimentary Wi-Fi, free bike rentals, and access to rooftop terraces.

  • Had a mid week day off and needed a "ME DAY". This place was a great choice. Didn't think it would be open early afternoon or have alcohol that early.... It was and it did! Not very crowded, very reasonable drink prices and great Margaritas. Sat in nice oversized chairs in the sand right behind large cargo nets suspended over the river. Very relaxing and very friendly staff at the bar. Def will go back for a great relaxing escape.
  • This park lights up at night! Literally and figuratively! The parks has hammocks as far as the eye can see and also has a plethora of food options. A beautiful place to relax alone, with friends, or with the family. The security and cleaning staff here is very well staffed by the city. As a result the park is nice, clean and feels very safe. Enjoy!
  • Loved it! What a great little park. Situated on the Delaware River at Penn's Landing it has hammocks, tables with chairs and benches for people to hang out. There are food vendors there as well as stalls and stands selling arts and crafts. And of course there are the ships including the Seaport Museum. Definitely a great place to visit while in Philly.
  • Really nice park area to cool off in the summer months. Good anytime of course, but in the summertime, people really come out to enjoy this park with their families. I love the views and the very relaxed vibe. Parking is good and the restrooms are generally clean. Summer tip: ladies always keep some toilet paper in a sealed baggie in your handbag!
  • Get there really early if you want a hammock. People don't seem to move from their spots. Nice vibe. Live music. The boardwalk is fashioned with food trucks to choose from. Can be so crowded
