  • Spruce Street Harbor a nice place to visit to relax or just something to do with the kids. Hammocks, puzzles, facepainting, vendors.  more »
  • You can take a walk, try to get a hammock and eat some crab fries among other things. It's a very fun place and it's so close to many other places like Penn's Landing.  more »
  • I wish they stayed open until Nov 1. Nice summer hangout with food stands, food trucks, and a beer garden. Nice chairs to people watch or look onto the water. They also have hammocks if you dare.  more »

  • A waterfront walkway and park where diverse groups of locals and tourists hang out in hammocks, stroll the waterfront to in the scenery or relax in variously designed seating areas in an eclectic and colorful setting. There is an anchored ship museum to visit. There's a fairy to downtown Camden and back which is worth it for views alone. There is also lots of foods from vendors in boxcars which is altogether an artistic experience. This place is nice during the day but really comes to life at night and is worth a visit anytime.
  • A great outing for family, friends and date night. The atmosphere is fun and relaxing, enjoy arcade games, dining among the fun, hamocks in the park or over the river. Live bands, boat rides, nearby restaurants, free games, variety of food and beverage. This place is for all ages and stages and welcomes diverse groups of people locally and abroad. This is a must visit. Accessible via driving, biking and public transportation.
  • One of my favorite places to hang out! In the summertime grab a hammock (if you can!) and enjoy the LED lights arranged throughout the trees. They have food options available as well as alcoholic drinks. The perfect place to hang out on a summer night.
  • Thanks for this Beautiful and enchanting outdoor place in Philadelphia City !! So many great things to do with your family, friends or by yourself. Relaxing and enjoyable views ! Delicious and very interesting food atmosphere. Clean, organized area. Nice and helpful staff all-round. Love it !
  • Urban planning done the best way! Can't get enough of this place. It's the best mix of indoor/outdoor - right at the water's edge with all the comforts! The space keeps expanding north, starting at Spruce Street and working it's way towards Chestnut and beyond. Along the way there's a beer garden with different vendors always serving up the brews. In addition, there's outdoor games, food trucks, mini golf, boat rides, a roller rink, and of course the famous hammocks! Careful on giving up your seat though - it's hard out there for a hammock seeker! The staff is always courteous and willing to help you out with any inquiries. In addition, it's pet friendly! Bring your canine companion out for a great outdoor hangout session - what more can you ask for? With so much going on, there's likely something for everyone, and if not, there's always new things popping up! Plan to stay a while and let the good times roll!

Where to stay in Philadelphia

Most of Philadelphia's hotels cluster around the compact city center, ensuring quick and easy access to major tourist sights and activities. The only drawback to staying in this area is the lack of free parking, so if you're exploring by car, considering booking into a bed and breakfast in one of the city's residential blocks. Visitors planning on longer stays can also consider several apartment hotels, offering spacious furnished units with complimentary Wi-Fi, free bike rentals, and access to rooftop terraces.
