  • This is a wonderful opportunity to experience an historic building, gardens and culture that is non indigenous to the area. A beautiful glimpse of the past from a land most of us might never travel to. The use of wood in time honored tradition to protect against earthquakes. The materials and layout of the gardens keeps one centered spiritually. Truly needs to be visited by all.
  • A small but beautiful garden. Visit for some soothing experience during the day. Plan to stay with your loved ones for about an hour or so. Feeding the Koi fishes is a great attraction!
  • The Japanese house admission fee doesn't add up to the amount of time it takes to explore the property. at more than $8 per person while it takes less that 30 minutes equates a low value. The Koi pond is a high point.
  • This place is a small slice of heaven. It is free to walk in and enjoy the garden area and only $5 to walk into the house (remember to remove your shoes at the door). If you enjoy the beauty of Japanese gardens and architecture this is a must see while visiting Philadelphia.
  • spectacular authentic japanese house and garden in the relative center of Philadelphia. go on a nice day to sit and meditate by the koi pond.
