  • You're better off looking on the internet for the history and costumes than taking the time to go to this dirty and dusty museum. Yes, the costumes are outlandish up close, but it's just weird....
  • As someone born on New Year's Day, every year I delight in watching the Philadelphia New Year's Day parade and the wonderful Mummers String Bands. I took a group of seniors from Ohio to the Mummers Mu...  more »
  • This is a great way to learn a little bit about the history of one of Philadelphia most unique traditions -- Mummers. Lots of customs and props on display, and you can't beat free.

  • The mummers are a bunch of drunken assholes and the only reason I went here was to try to be more accepting. This museum added nothing to my life. Come if you want to pretend to be interested by facts about the mummers origins and want to try on dusty and lice ridden costumes.
  • Definitely not something most people know much about but one person in our party did and it was worth the visit. A labor of love for those involved and a rich history. Just take some time to take it in. Admission is free although donations are accepted. Not hard to find and the staff is friendly and knowledgable. Fascinating slice of culture..
