  • Dilworth Park seems to be more of a concourse and modern pavement fountain in front of City Hall. As City Hall is worth seeing, this is a bonus!  more »
  • This is a relatively new Park. A cafe which serves beer and mixed drinks and snacks with a restroom makes it very welcoming.  more »
  • I like spending time in Dilworth Plaza!! It's nicer and more fun with the fountains, flowers and fun  more »

  • It's open. It feels as though everything there belongs. It's spacious. It's easily accessible. You almost always see it because it is plotted in front of city hall. I love it.
  • Great park connected to the front of Philadelphia city hall. Lots of seating. Fountains that kids always play in. (Exspensive) little cafe on the end of the area. There are sometimes events such as yoga or movie nights there when it is warmer weather. Enterance to public transit. Also there is an ice skating rink in winter. Finally the Christmas Market is now located there every December for now.
  • A fitting replacement for the public plaza I remember from the 1970s. A beautiful water fountain good for kids at play and adults needing a visual distraction from traffic. I’d like to shake the architect’s hand.
  • Dilworth Park is the best in the Summer, because the fountains in the ground allow people to walk through them! Very kid and family friendly. Great place to lounge.
  • Come watch everyone play in the fountains, or for any of the amazing programming that happens year round. Workouts, yoga, happy hours...always something going on.

Where to stay in Philadelphia

Most of Philadelphia's hotels cluster around the compact city center, ensuring quick and easy access to major tourist sights and activities. The only drawback to staying in this area is the lack of free parking, so if you're exploring by car, considering booking into a bed and breakfast in one of the city's residential blocks. Visitors planning on longer stays can also consider several apartment hotels, offering spacious furnished units with complimentary Wi-Fi, free bike rentals, and access to rooftop terraces.
