  • Because of its historical value, this is a stop worth making. It is in the historic district so not out of your way, as you will be here seeing all kinds of things anyway!  more »
  • As one of the founding fathers of the US, a trip to Philadelphia would be grossly incomplete without a quick stop off at Benjamin Franklin's grave. For the astute tourist, an ironic twist appears as y...  more »
  • If you visit the historic district of Philadelphia, you can follow a walking tour that will make you go through this cemetery. This one is typical of Americans cement in big cities. Some drooping plates are illegible or very worn making it a very historic cemetery. Of course, there is the grave of Benjamin Franklin where you can drop off a piece and make a wish. Take the time to visit, the place is quiet and it brings us to reflection. Enjoy your visit. P.S. We are asked a contribution to enter, but the amount is minimal.

  • I don't know how exciting a cemetery is supposed to be. I was a little surprised to have to pay admission, but it is private property and receives a lot of foot traffic, so I feel the price was nominal considering the upkeep probably required. It was something that I'm glad I did. The staff were knowledgeable about the cemetery and were able to answer a few questions I had about the property.
  • Pretty cool to get to see Ben's tomb. Throw a penny on it for good luck-it all goes to preserving the tombs in the graveyard. For $2.00 you can go into the whole graveyard itself, which is pretty cool too if you like graves.
  • The two women at the entrance were extremely knowledgeable. Be sure to ask questions like how they could bury 10+ people in one tomb. Really interesting stuff.
  • Pretty cool just to be able to see the place where Ben Franklin is buried. There's not much here, so don't expect grandeur.
  • Very cool, located near the liberty bell.
