  • Home of the famous golf course by the same name, Pebble Beach is a very nice area with some of most incredible coastline views I have ever seen. I recommend spending the day here. There's a resort at ...  read more »
  • Honestly we had no idea that Monterey Bay was so so sleepy! I thought it was a cozy little town that we could wander hand in hand in. Instead we found it to be very touristy and extremely run down and...  read more »

  • Amazing place with a wonderful variety of natural feature to explore. Very fascinating to kids of all ages. The waves are very strong - this is a place to enjoy the power of the ocean from afar. Nice hike to the south of the parking lot where the tide pools are - two paths - one downwards to the tafoni rocks and one atop where the bridge is. To the north of the parking lot is a really fun smooth pebbled beach. The rocks are so smooth they are fun to lie down on, and enjoyable for little ones to scoop and pour, and have a great tactile experience. PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE PEBBLES!
  • Always one of my favorite beaches. On the north you have a pebble beach, on the South a Sandy Beach, and rocky tidal pools in between. Great views all around and less crowded than other beaches in my experience.
  • The beach sand is.. pebbly! The rocks and formations are at once beautiful and alien in composition. There is a seal rookery nearby on the south side of the beach and you can find them swimming near shore.
  • One of many California State Beaches along CA-1, Bean Hollow offers beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. To the left of the parking area are tide pools that can be explored. A short walk down some steps and you can sink your feet into sea-smoothed gems and watch the waves crash on the shore.
  • Outstanding tide pools along the coast, nice walking trail. Seals and various sea birds can be spotted on the rocks not too far off.
