  • We picked Big Lagoon State Park for our first camping trip with our 5 and 6 year old. The camp sites were clean and somewhat secluded. The bathroom and showers were close and clean. It was bike friendly. They even had a playground. The best part about Big Lagoon is that there are lots of hiking trails and things to see, so you can fill your day easily (Just be aware that some of the trails are long!). All in all, this is a great state park.
  • Great place for a family, picnics and those who enjoy outdoor activities. The observation tower is really awesome. I just love Perdido Key, Johnson Beach and Pensacola Beach area.
  • Camp sites had privacy as you are surrounded by bushes and the beach is right behind you. Great place to camp. The sites are small but good enough. The restrooms were in excellent condition & very clean.
  • My wife and I visited this park in April of 2016 and immediately fell in love with the views, the friendly staff, and the camping areas. Walking paths offer some hiking along the lagoon and large pond. Make sure you bring your camera as the observation tower provides some gorgeous of the water!
