A FREE lovely tribute to our veterans. A nice park, thoughtful monuments and ducks and turtles to feed! We went 3 times, loved the walk and feeding the turtles. At 6 pm Taps is played. Love this place...  more »

I had put this on my list, based on all the reviews from TripAdvisor. We visited it on the first day of our trip. As we started out it was sprinkling but we still decided to stroll through the park. W...  more »

Take the time to read and reflect. I am glad I was solo on this visit. It is good to take time to try to realize what so many have sacrificed for our freedom  more »

Lovely. The pond with the natural landscaping and birds was so peaceful. The multiple memorials were a great addition to highlight Pensacola's military history. Right across the street is also a lost children's memorial. I would like to see a small K9 memorial and a Civil War acknowledgment.

Beautiful, well-maintained park. Gorgeous views to Pensacola Bay. Nice walk from downtown Pensacola and a great place from which to watch the July 4th fireworks!

Nice place. Great paved, wide walkways. A big, central duck pond. I love it; I would like to go more, but it's pretty far away from me. Not many kids ever, though. Seems like an adult hangout, for some reason. Vietnam memorial wall is stunning. One of Pensacola's best spots!

The park is serene and allows a person to say thank you to the many men and women who gave us a tomorrow in our country.

Where to stay in Pensacola

You'll find places to stay throughout Pensacola, but reserve a place downtown for the best local atmosphere and access to nearby beaches. Downtown Pensacola is on the water, and it features a collection of inns and bed and breakfasts in historical buildings and upscale tower hotels. The national chain hotels and motels along Interstate 10 by the Davis Highway and Pensacola Blvd. exits provide budget-friendly options within driving distance of downtown. It might be tempting to choose one of the budget motels along Highway 90 just west of downtown, but these reside in a rundown area. If you're arriving to spend most of your time by the ocean, stay on Pensacola Beach or Perdido Key, which sit just outside the city limits.
