  • I have been to quite a few birthday parties at the establishment and always had a good time. Summer or winter, no problems. Friendly and fun staff and lots of entertainment for the kids rain or shine.
  • I love that Pensacola has a waterpark/amusement park. This area doesn't really have much going for it, but I enjoy taking my niece to Sam's.
  • We were not impressed with the facilities, entertainment and games which were not worth the cost of entry. Food was below average with above average prices. Ball pit and other areas were not sanitary....  read more »
  • I went to Sam's surf city just this past Saturday. The water park itself was awesome! The slides, the lazy river and they have a pretty cool kids area, both kiddie areas. Unfortunately, the staff wasn't as impressive. Half of the lifeguards were decently nice but it was mostly the concession stand staff. Every time you talk to them or try to be friendly to them, there's not really a reaction. They just kinda stare back at you. With a blank face. My 6 & 7 year old even complained more than once during the day, the staff were a little rude. Unfriendly. It's saying something when children notice. For a place where the customers are mostly children, most of the staff aren't really upbeat.
  • An arcade game fell on My nephew last night and they gave his mom a note saying this is a "play at your own risk" facility! EXCUSE me!!, but that sign is for games that kids play on and in. NOT for arcade games that you play at. He is bruised up from head to toe. And, you give my sister a note says, sorry and offer him a drink?! Really?!?
  • Water park was nice, yes there were leaves in the lazy river, but it's outside and shaded by the trees. The amusement park was understaffed, but for the price was a good value since my kids were mostly interested in the go-carts which was staffed appropriately. Most rides are geared towards kids 13 and younger except the go-carts. The put put golf portion needs much attention as hole 10 eats the golf balls. The food buffet was worth the price and much cheaper than alacart if you have older kids.
  • My experience at Sams fun city is a little mixed. The water park side of the establishment is decent, with enough to do to keep a family entertained for about 4 hours. They do have a couple of great sections for children 3 - 7 years of age....a few thrilling slides for those a little older. The water park is probably a little overpriced, but most of them are. The amusement park side of the park could be better. Some of the rides are in need of a little TLC. I will agree with other reviewers, the amusement park side is often times under staffed. Go kart track is typical of other establishments. If arcade games are your thing, look elsewhere. Pensacola, FL has no major amusement park or water park so this is probably the closest thing you will find.
  • My grandkids REALLY enjoyed the water park but the amusement park was a different story. I paid full price for myself and my grandkids to enjoy a day at both parks. After spending the day at the water park we went to amusement park which would have been nice if each of the rides had an attendant working it. We spent more time looking for someone to operate the rides than we spend riding on them. It got to the point where we had to find an attendant and move them with us from ride to ride. We paid full price for half price experience. The park would probable get more visitors if the rides were fully staffed. We did not get to play laser tag and many of the other things we paid for because we spent so much time looking for someone to operate the rides. VERY DISSAPPOINTED IN THE AMUSEMENT RIDES AREA.
