  • We have enjoyed the view from this park many times. Lots of seabirds to watch, nice marina, some restaurants, and usually a huge interesting cargo ship docked within view.  more »
  • Great area to relax and watch boats come and go, people fish, pelicans coming and going. It's on the bay and there's a wonderful little restaurant to eat at called Jaco's. They also have a splash park...  more »

  • Love it down there. Went to Jacko's for dinner. Great view of the bay and the boats. Good place to walk around to get some exercise.
  • Excellent place to take the kids. Lots of Pokemon. Safe, plenty of people around. I love it!
  • Great view of the bay!! Pelicans, pigeons, & seagulls in abundance for photographs. Nice little eatery with REALLY good butter pecan ice cream!! In the summer the plaza has spewing water for cooling off & children to run through. Fishermen try their luck off the railings. Great family spot.
  • Nice place to see the water, fish, let the kids splash in the water. There is an ice cream place that's usually open that is pretty good but a bit pricey. It's a nice area to visit.
  • It's beautiful out there! It overlooks Escambia Bay, where you can see both NAS Pensacola and Pensacola Beach. There are gorgeous sunsets, and it's beautiful at night. You can walk along the pier, but no fishing on the pier! Don't worry, though, as there is plenty of space to fish behind the pier.

Where to stay in Pensacola

You'll find places to stay throughout Pensacola, but reserve a place downtown for the best local atmosphere and access to nearby beaches. Downtown Pensacola is on the water, and it features a collection of inns and bed and breakfasts in historical buildings and upscale tower hotels. The national chain hotels and motels along Interstate 10 by the Davis Highway and Pensacola Blvd. exits provide budget-friendly options within driving distance of downtown. It might be tempting to choose one of the budget motels along Highway 90 just west of downtown, but these reside in a rundown area. If you're arriving to spend most of your time by the ocean, stay on Pensacola Beach or Perdido Key, which sit just outside the city limits.
