A number of interesting exhibits mostly with historical significance. Best case will only keep 4 year old busy for 45-60 mins. We could only visit 50% of museum, second floor only as they allow a sing...  more »

This museum was small. Mainly history stuff, not many activities to do but the kids had fun with what was there. Not a bad price either.  more »

Love the history. Upstairs was most interesting for our 7 year old. Preschooler liked downstairs.

My son loved exploring the different rooms and activities- he even caught a fish (magnetic fish of course 🤗)

It is a good place to take younger children, but once they are 7 or 8 years old they start to grow out of it. My kids always liked to play in the T.T. Wentworth Museum in the historic village area, so when they moved that display to the Children's Museum we visited it there instead.

We haven't been here for any of the social events, but the kids enjoyed playing in the historically themed okay areas.

Very fun, and great, easy to digest information on the history of Pensacola. Probably aimed a little younger than the advertised 10 and under.

Where to stay in Pensacola

You'll find places to stay throughout Pensacola, but reserve a place downtown for the best local atmosphere and access to nearby beaches. Downtown Pensacola is on the water, and it features a collection of inns and bed and breakfasts in historical buildings and upscale tower hotels. The national chain hotels and motels along Interstate 10 by the Davis Highway and Pensacola Blvd. exits provide budget-friendly options within driving distance of downtown. It might be tempting to choose one of the budget motels along Highway 90 just west of downtown, but these reside in a rundown area. If you're arriving to spend most of your time by the ocean, stay on Pensacola Beach or Perdido Key, which sit just outside the city limits.
