  • Great covered picnic area with restrooms right on the beach, walking trails, great sand-dunes to play in, designated area (last 3 miles of the island) unofficially consider "Johnson's Nude Beach).... ...  more »
  • Enjoy this beach immensely. The sand is beautiful and love to look for shells. Also enjoy the waves and watching the sand crabs emerge.
  • Just a great stretch of beach in the most natural of settings. Varies from busy covered facilities to deserted stretches requiring long walks from your parked car. A little bit of gulf, some inter-coa...  more »

  • Wonderful family beach. Great value for an annual pass and you have access to Big Lagoon as well as the Gulf of Mexico. Kayak launch, walking trail and loads of white sandy beaches.
  • Went to Johnson's Beach over Memorial Day weekend. Referred there by a local to avoid the masses on the other beaches. It was great. Not crowded for a crazy weekend. Parking very close to where we set up on the beach. Had to pay $15 for a pass (good for a week) or pay $30 for the year. Worth it!
  • The beach is always clean, very well maintained. Usually not very busy.
  • We love going here just to sit and relax, we have not had a bad experience yet, family friendly settings
  • Beautiful place. Park Ranger Trent Blair is the very best. Super nice and friendly.
