  • A group of 9 of us on a bachelorette party. We went there because the bride loves red tail hawks. The woman doing the tasting was rather rude and the tasting area was so hot, several of us walked out....  more »
  • Red Tail wines are among the best Finger Lakes wines. The 606 Riesling was my favorite Riesling of three days of tasting. Well worth visiting.  more »
  • We enjoyed this visit and our server was an absolute hoot. Very knowledgeable and kept us on a "strict" regimen of when to cleanse our palates between tastings.  more »

  • A wonderful stop on Seneca lake. Love their white wines. Very small tasting room which is great if you have a small group. Could be difficult if you enter with a large group. Love Bobbi and Sarah. They are amazing and knowledgable.
  • one of the "must-stops" on the Seneca Lake wine trail. They don't allow tour buses or limos, so if you're with a big group you need to figure out how to split up.
  • Great service for tasting with great wines. Very knowledgable staff without being overbearing.
  • We started our day out at this winery, and it set the bar pretty high for wineries we visited afterwards. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. They really know their wines. They had both good dry and semi-dry red and white wines that we enjoyed. They were also very careful about the order in which you tasted the wines so that they didn't overpower your palate. If you're looking for sweet wines made of various berries, this is not the place for that. They don't allow limos or buses, which preserves the intimate and casual feel of the tasting room. If you're driving your way down Seneca Lake and enjoy a good dry riesling or pinot noir, this is the place to stop.
  • Writing this purely to counteract the negative reviews. This is a small winery - even by Finger Lakes standards it's smaller than many but not all. Maybe 2 people behind the bar tops. What you get, however, is a short but excellent list of rieslings across the dryness/semi-sweet spectrum. In my experience my most expensive bottles from Finger Lakes trips have come from here, but also my most treasured. Their rieslings are some of the best I have had from the region. I would never come to Seneca Lake and not come here, do a tasting, and pick up at least one bottle. If you're a riesling fan, you are missing out if you don't come here.
