  • We have stopped here in the fall for years to celebrate the end of "good weather season" with some fresh food; usually grilled corn and apple cider. In this case my teenaged son and I stopped on a fal...  read more »
  • Stopped in while biking the canal, just to see what they had. Gosh are we happy we did, cause it doesn't get much better than this. Fresh corn, apples of all varieties, plenty of veggie choices, homem...  read more »
  • Relaxing time. You can bring your dogs and just enjoy looking around at the pumpkins and gourds. Cute little store with fresh vegetables too!
  • We went to Szalay's on a Sunday and everyone was there. It was super crowded and it was hard to shop. However- with that being said, all of the produce I did purchase has been great. It was slightly overpriced, but tastes great. Also, NO CREDIT CARDS. They do have an atm, but keep in mind when you visit it is cash and check only. I do recommend getting their sweet corn from the food stand- it was great! Their lemonade was good- not too sweet. Will be back.
  • 4 Stars... lost one for reasons below... OK, I grew up less than two miles from here - so I remember the old days before this became an attraction... CORN - First and foremost - the reason you should come here - is always great. Produce - good quality - but they should really denote what they grew and what they resell. To some of us it makes a difference (in that I want to try their ....). Carnival like stands... Interesting - fruit, custard, corn... My only complaint is they should be grilling the corn over wood or charcoal - then I could bet on board (and likely stay way too long and eat way too much)... Like a farmer I once new said - if you pick the corn and sprint with it to the grill - then its fresh... If you trip - its old corn... Crowd / Parking / Bathrooms - to me its a shame this has become a park attraction - but that 's just because I was used to the old szalays. Bathroom - uses the fancy outhouse of the part a little walk away.
  • I love coming here for fresh fruits and vegetables, especially Szalay's corn. On weekend they have ice cream, fresh squeezed lemonade and roasted corn for sale. They do not take credit cards.
  • This is the best place for fresh produce. Some of the food is grown on the farm. The corn here is the best. They sell food to eat on Fridays,Saturdays and Sundays starting at 10:30am. Get an ear of corn and a hot dog. Lemonade is excellent
  • This was always the best corn to buy near Bath or Richfield if Sam Nemer ran out. Sam had the best corn for years on Cleveland-Massillon Road. We knew the Szalay family since the 1940s.
