So much history here, and beauty. A reminder of the sad plight of the Apache. Wonderful hiking trails, from easy to difficult. We come back often.
Challenging because the West Stronghold is a lot steeper than the East side and for 1 and 3/4 mile each way you are either going down or climbing up a pretty steep and slippery trail. This national pa... read more »
Handsome rock structures and hills, free camping, no facilities.
I was born there and I miss it I was born on the reservation in 1947 I miss the people and the beautiful air and the scenery I just miss everything about Phoenix and the reservation
We love hiking and camping here. Great scenery and only about 1 hour from our home at 110 N 1st Street, Tombstone.
Wonderful place to camp no potable water. No showers. Nice trails.
Spectacular place, you can feel the spirit of the warriors that once lived here.. A great strategic location. A beautiful gift of God.
