  • The weather was awesome and if you are looking for a relaxing weekend in Payson, make this one of your stops. They even have a cabin to rent for a group.
  • Went here to do some fishing. Sure to catch some fish and beautiful scenery. Not far from Phoenix. Nice day trip.
  • We took our grandson to catch his first fish here. He caught three in 30 minutes. The grounds are beautiful with picnic tables, chairs and barbecues.
  • We had the most amazing time with my family. Thanks to Brenda and Randy our trip turned out to be one of the most amazing family reunion. The Cabin was very beautifully decorated the views were amazing the fresh air and greenery was a plus. Thank you again Brenda and Randy for your hospitality for fresh berries and plums they were delicious. We will be back in the future. Thank you again.
  • After no luck at bear lake , saw sign of tonto creek. Nice drive up n saw sign trout fishing S o family stop in. No dogs allowed. Nice place kids caught 4 trout within 40 min. Free poles, clean fish n pack in ice. Paid $1 per inch. Well worth the kids experience on fishing. Nice set up , man behind counter not talkative. Family friendly place. Well come back when in payson again.
  • Very pretty and well kept grounds. The owners were very helpful and nice to my family and were more than willing to hop in and help with any issues at all! We caught three fish. It is incredibly easy to catch fish here, if you dangle the bait above the water they will try to jump out of the water to get it. Not necessarily my type of fishing but it's great fun for family and kids and you will leave with dinner in hand, unlike some fishing trips I've had before. The fish were also very meaty, were nice sized, and had excellent flavor. Top notch for eating.
  • We found it!!! It was a great experience- We caught 4 fish in less than 30 minutes. They cleaned it, put it in a bag with ice ready to go. It's worth the drive from Phoenix to have this experience of a lifetime.
  • This is the second time I have been up to the catch a trout program and both times have been awesome. The first time was a blast with my son a couple of years ago and last weekend 8/16/15 I took my daughter up to catch a trout. The grounds are very pretty and after catching a 12" and 13" rainbow trout we fed the rest of the bait to the fish then we walked around the grounds and picked and ate some blackberries. The staff cleaned the fish in front of my daughter explained the organs and all that (very cool) and showed how to clean a fish, then bagged it in ice and told us how to cook it. My daughter asked if we could come back every day, I said I'll see what I can do :)
