  • Our family took a trip to Willow Springs Lake to let our daughter and her boyfriend, both college students, try to catch their first trout. It was a beautiful day but way too many people. The fishing ...  more »

  • My daughter and her three boys ages 5, 7, and 10 stopped by on a week day afternoon. We were the only ones there. After about 10 minutes one of the owners finally appeared. She was not very friendly, and we were treated like we were interrupting her day. Each boy quickly caught a trout. The water was quite murky and stagnant. The lady cleaned and bagged the fish for us. We took the fish back to the cabin with the intention of eating them. However, my son-in-law (who did not go with us) already had a spaghetti dinner in progress, so I saved them for breakfast the next morning. About an hour after getting home and before dinner (and about 3 hours after leaving the trout farm)my daughter and I both started feeling a little queasy. The boys at this time felt fine. We all ate the spaghetti dinner. My daughter and I did not eat very much because our stomachs were getting more queasy. Shortly after dinner, my daughter and I both got sick. Within 2 hours, all three boys were sick. We were all up and down all night long. It was a good thing the cabin had two bathrooms and a good supply of large bowls. The only one who did not get sick was my son-in-law who did not touch or handle a fish. We cannot prove we got sick from the trout farm, but it does seem more than coincidence that only those who went got sick. In addition, I was telling the story to a local resident who said that was not the first time she had heard a similar story. We will not be back.
  • Fun and easy way to catch trout and great for kids and adults that don't know much about fishing.
  • Beautiful places surrounded by Mother Nature, lovely view.
  • Very pretty and well kept grounds. The owners were very helpful and nice to my family and were more than willing to hop in and help with any issues at all! We caught three fish. It is incredibly easy to catch fish here, if you dangle the bait above the water they will try to jump out of the water to get it. Not necessarily my type of fishing but it's great fun for family and kids and you will leave with dinner in hand, unlike some fishing trips I've had before. The fish were also very meaty, were nice sized, and had excellent flavor. Top notch for eating.
  • We had the most amazing time with my family. Thanks to Brenda and Randy our trip turned out to be one of the most amazing family reunion. The Cabin was very beautifully decorated the views were amazing the fresh air and greenery was a plus. Thank you again Brenda and Randy for your hospitality for fresh berries and plums they were delicious. We will be back in the future. Thank you again.
