  • My group played Caledonia on our way out of Myrtle Beach following the Myrtle Beach World Am. I think their rate is high but since some had not played there, I wanted to get it off their "to be played...  read more »

  • If you're going to South Carolina and you're a golfer, don't miss Caledonia. Always on th elist of the top 100 courses in the State. it's a beautiful and historic golf course.
  • Caledonia is one of my favorite golf courses. The driveway leading to the clubhouse is amazing! The course is well maintained and green and lush. The greens are fast and true. As other reviews have stated, it's $199 during the high season. Is it worth that much money for a round of golf? Probably not. If the cost is of no consequence, it will be an enjoyable and memorable round of golf.
  • It was my first time playing here in all of the years I've been down to the MB area. I was afraid it wouldn't live up to it's expectations (and price tag). I was completely WOWED and will be going back every year from now. Course was wet yet immaculate. Once it dried out toward the afternoon it was perfect. Staff was friendly and helpful. There wasn't a lot of people out, so every two holes or so one ranger or another would run into us on the teebox. They gave us a mini tutorial on how to play the hole since it was our first time. I shot my best round here and I played 16 round in 13 days while i was in MB!
  • Course was gorgeous and in great shape. Greens were surprisingly slow, but they were getting punched the next day. Complimentary fish stew on the first tee was awesome. Price is fairly steep, so would recommend for the offseason or a splurge.
  • Course was below average practice area was unkept staff was very courteous (hence the extra star) pace of play was abysmal due to almost every hole being roped off with zero rain. Greens where rock hard and very inconsistent absolutely not worth $200 a round especially with so many courses near myrtle beach that are head and shoulders better for half the price! I would never play this course again. In fact the $50 myrtlewood course played better faster and greens where consistent. Definitely not worth the money! Fairways and approaches had many areas where root system was dead. Shot in the 70's so not slamming the course because I had a bad round either just very disappointed with the conditions for the money we spent to play! Finally we where up the arse of the group in front and rangers kept telling us to speed it up finished in 4:15 minutes waiting on every shot.
  • Best course in Myrtle Beach by a long shot. One of the best courses I have played anywhere.
