If you're in SC this place is worth the trip. If you go, get the guided tour. A fun half day with the family.
It's an unexpected large brick complex right in the middle of the park on the water. Has some cool history, but doesn't take too long to explore or tour it.

Very nice to visit! Information center is just enough...not to pushy, informative enough and helpful . The house is beautiful, plagues on the walls explain what the rooms were used for and the map is well laid out and easy to follow. Our 4 year old was able to "guide" us, which he loved. Fantastic glimpse into the history of the area, people and home. Courtyard area is gorgeous!
This place is awesome, so beautiful and full of wonder. Great place to take kids to learn about Anna Vaughn Hyatt Huntington. This was her summer house.
Interesting house - different archititure. Worth seeing. Good to see at Christmas time when the interior is decorated and there are actors as Archer and Anne.
Interesting place. Not as old as most other historic sites in the area, but fun to walk through the "castle" structure.
Enjoyed touring Atalaya. Love the history of the place.. Hard to imagine all the wild animals roaming around in the 1920's - 1940's...
