  • I finally made it up here!! And it did not disappoint! The general store had SO much cute stuff! Some stuff was a little pricey, but that's to be expected at a touristy place. There were a number of things that were reasonably priced for what they were though. My 2 friends that went with me had both been to Magnolia down in Waco and said that The Mercantile was so much better. We had an amazing lunch at the deli, and oh the bakery! I only got 2 things but ensuring looked incredible and very fresh. The things I got were so incredibly delicious. When I go back, I might just have dessert for lunch!
  • This place was fantastic! If you're a pioneer woman fan you'll LOVE this place. If you're it's still a fantastic place to get something to eat. The staff was polite and helpful. The place was amazingly clean! The food was very tasty and filling. My only disappointment is my inability to eat more 😭 but it's ok because I can always come back. You should definitely check this place out. Worth the travel!
  • Arrived at the Mercantile around 7:15am, was seated within 2 minutes, awesome! The hostess was nice and friendly and the waitress was at our table in just a minute. She was very good at her job. I was very pleased. We ordered our food, and the coffee was good. The breakfast came out, my family was extremely disappointed to say the least. The food was luke warm even though it came out shortly after ordering. The food tasted as if they put to many spices in it and way to salty. The price was high for the quality of food received, I guess you're paying for the privilege of eating there. Go there to say you did, eat somewhere else to get better, hotter food at a more down to earth price.
  • The food was amazing! I mean...really amazing! Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Was somewhat underwhelmed by staff at Host Stand. A more welcoming greeting with conversation regarding where we were from since we drove such a long distance to visit, or perhaps tidbits about the building would have been appreciated. Will definitely return for another delicious meal.
  • Fun place to shop. Lots of things I'd love to get but it all seemed a little pricey for me - even though I did end up spending over $100 in merchandise. The food and the service at the restaurant was good as well ... But again - seemed a little pricey. Really nice, quaint little town. Another visit is not out of the question.
