  • We randomly found this winery on our Paso vacation. The views from the winery are terrific, and we enjoyed the wine. It has a small tasting room, but we received personal service, they sold meat (whic...  more »

  • Small tasting room always feels like you're in the wine makers living room- in a good way. They're as friendly as could be and have a great product. Pretty views as their tasting room is on top of a hill.
  • The great folks at Opolo winery introduced me to this gem of a winery. Family owned and Family passion for wines. Everything they make is stellar and AFFORDABLE for great wines. Bob Wine (their bottom tier table wine) is an amazing steal for the dollar and their higher end line (not much more than the Bob wine) is all spectacular. Been a member of their club for 7 years and during holidays and special events I order cases. Nicest people in a very inviting setting. Everyone I have shared this wine with loves it and many have joined their club. Probably the best kept secret in Paso Robles. Highly recommend a visit.. I promise you will walk out with a bottle or 12
  • I'm a big fan of this family-owned & family-operated winery. When you walk in, you'll feel like the long lost member of the family! The wines are excellent too and I've yet to try anything that I didn't want to take home with me.
  • Great wines and olive oils! Plus it's a small family - run business. They have friendly kitties too. :-)
  • We stopped here because of the name, but we did really like their wines. The have a long history, but mostly as a hobby for the first decade or two. At that time they were known as Bob Wine....because Bob made it. At that time, they primary sold their grapes, while making some wine for themselves and a small amount for others. When they decided to make it an official winery, they chose the name Whalebone, for the whale bones found when planting. We really liked their Cabs. They have a limited selection of wines, but what they have are worth the stop.
