  • This was a larger winery, but still very welcoming. Enjoyed the wine and the remote location. This was a change to see the winery that produces wines we can easily find at home.
  • This is a very nice tasting room. Friendly Staff and a nice selection of their wines. Also some clever and nice merchandise, that go with wine. Wines and merchandise were also reasonability priced. We...  read more »
  • We enjoyed a nice wine tasting at J Lohr winery in Paso Robles. There was no fee for the tasting except if you wanted to taste the Cuvee series wines. We thought that each of the wines that we drank (...  read more »
  • Free tasting! Very good wines around $35 price point. The tasting room is clean and has lots of cool swag you can buy!
  • You wouldn't know it by the size of the tasting room, but this is one of the largest wineries in Paso. They offer free tasting and I've found that they have a price point for just about everyone. It's a nice, quaint little place with lots of great wine!
  • We went to 4 wineries that day and this was our first. I love it. First you do not get charged a tasting fee. Secondly, the guy behind the counter was amazing and did not only pour the wine, but would help us understand and compare the different years and vineyards. We were able to taste more than the 6 they had listed on the sheet. The three wines i ended up getting were the Gesture GSM, Gesture Grenache Rose, and a dessert wine. I wish I had more money to buy the Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon and Carol's Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon It is expensive, but i loved the wine.
  • I've never been to the wineries in Paso Robles so we winged it on our road trip. First stop was J. Lohr. The tasting room is not very big, but there are quite a few servers available. Tasting is free and you get to choose up to 5 wines. I was very fond of the Viognier, GSM blend, and Cab. But I don't think they hold up to Napa equivalents. Service was very good. If you're in the mood for a casual and complimentary tasting (who isn't), this is the place.
  • I like their wine in the stores so I stopped here for a tasting. Really enjoyed it. They had very friendly servers and the tasting was free. They have some excellent wines they do not sell except at the wineries that you can sample here.
