We have been stopping by Castoro for years. They consistently make excellent wines at an affordable price point. Always very friendly. Not far from the 101. Go to Peachy Canyon next door while you are...  more »

This is the perfect blend of an old school vineyard visit and contemporary winery tasting visit. I always stop by whenever in Paso Robles, even just to relax for a bit. Access is extremely convenient ...  more »

Castoro maybe my absolute favorite Winery I've ever been to. Not only is it fairly priced ($5 for 7 tasters and the tasters get waived after you buy a bottle (+-$30 for most)) but they usually have 14+ different wines that are well-made and can please almost any palette. Castoro is also a great place to visit and spend most of your day. They have wonderful grounds to enjoy a bottle, some cheese and crackers. If you feel like getting a little more exercise they have a fairly well maintained 18-hole disc golf course. Hole 6 is worth playing this course alone, but the other 17 holes tend to reward the player who has more accuracy than power. Like most wineries and most places you'd expect service, I suggested going to Castoro on a slower day. However, Castoro might be the best equipped to keep you entertained on a busy day as well; just buy a bottle, find a seat and relax.

One of our favorites in Paso Robles! The wine selection is consistently good and always one of the best priced in the area. That said, don't let the price fool you into thinking the wine is sub-par. The Zinfusion here is one of my favorite wines to bring out for a party. They really do an excellent job in the beautiful tasting room going above and beyond to help you understand what you're tasting to make sure you have a great experience. If you like olive oil, make sure to try it while you're there for a wine tasting. The outdoor setting around the tasting room is also very inviting with a small concert stage nestled in a grassy area surrounded by vines. Very picturesque! We always make it a point to stop here when we're in the area and will continue to return!

Sherry was so amazingly helpful and friendly in the tasting room. Well beyond just tasting the wine. She makes you feel like family, and then the wine is delicious too.-/

The entrance was extravagant and lined with flowers. The garden is very pretty and there is tables for tasting. There is art and a gallery. I recommend the grape juice . It's great for events.

Fantastic wines, very helpful staff. Usually there is a tasting of at least 7 wines for ~$5. Many varieties from whites to bold reds.
