  • I've been coming to Vroman's for years, but I finally thought I should give them a shout-out here. This bookstore is older than the city of Pasadena has been incorporated. I'm a book lover and while t...  more »

  • Beautiful bookstore, I wish there were more of these around. Hopefully this one doesn't go any time soon! I really like the personalized mini book recommendations provided by the staff throughout the store! Pros: many, many books, from kids to adults. Stationary and other knickknacks as well. The employees REALLY know their books, and are excited/passionate about discussing them with you. Cons: not much. Tip: Parking can be difficult, approach from the Oak Knoll side to get in to the parking lot easily.
  • One of the best bookstore's left. They always have great events with authors. They offer good events for kids. Active monthly calendar to let you know about their events. Helpful staff, and staff recommendations through the store. Books are reasonably priced. Small cafe attached. Plenty of parking in the back.
  • Very cool bookstore in Pasadena. It is the oldest and largest independent bookstore in Southern California and has been a Pasadena staple since 1894, I believe. There are lots of nooks and crannies for you to squirrel yourself away and review a book you're thinking about buying and they have a grand selection, some available with employee book reviews to help you with your decision. There is also a coffee shop indoors and they carry many decor and personal use items which make great gifts for your loved ones or even yourself. I can get lost in this store for hours just "window shopping", lol.
  • What a great bookstore. Vroman's is the oldest and largest independent bookstore in Southern California. The employees are friendly and helpful. There is a large area for events. This is just a beautiful store!
  • Very nice bookstore, beautiful store and pleasant staff. Sometimes there is really cool events! Don't forget the must-see sales and clearances, good deals there.
