Old Pasadena, Pasadena
Categories: Historic Walking Areas, Tourist Spots
The historical district of Old Pasadena is a popular spot for an atmospheric stroll, dinner, or shopping. The culturally rich neighborhood was once in a period of disrepair, but concerted efforts in recent decades have made this one of Southern California's most popular pedestrian areas. Charming brick buildings house a variety of trendy boutiques, lively bars, antique stores, and ethnic restaurants. You can find comedy clubs, movie theaters, and street performers providing entertainment options. For more information about the history of the area, consider taking a guided walking tour. Old pasadena is very alive, espceially at night. If you are a big fan of big bang theory, you can go the THE cheesecacke factory. Walking around is definitely not a waste of time.
Great place to spend the day and night. Lots of cool shops. Lots of free parking and it's got quite the emerging foodie scene. Take the Gold line and explore or go for a walk. This area is great. Just make sure you bring change for the homeless, they're everywhere.
Lots of stores closing down, but that means more will soon open up. Great place for stroll, happy hour, dinner or window shopping. Sucks on Friday and Saturday late night though, lots of douchey bro's and dirty people.
Old Pas is one of the most charming places I've ever seen, but more than that a lot of business happens here. Just walking across the diagonal streets, you could run into one of the top tech companies in the country. Old Pas is home to Cross Campus, Innovate Pasadena, Idea Lab, Copa Vida, and so much more.
Old Pasadena has such charm. Their are so many amazing bars and restaurants. It is always easy to have a good night out.
This place is essentially an outdoor mall. Nothing really old or authentic about it in my opinion. Yes, maybe some of the building facades have an old look to them, but whatever historical value this town once had has been replaced by modern day shopping and underwhelming food options. Worth driving through, but I regret taking the time to walk around and explore.
