  • We came for the impressionists and the renaissance painting ; Really enjoyed the sculpture garden next to a waterlily pond! Light refreshments in the shade and small quality giftshop!
  • We were accompanied to visit because we had been told was very nice. The truth is that it is a real bonus. Able to compete with the European French and Italian museums. An extraordinary collection of European paintings. 1500-1600 Flemish and Dutch. Impressionist paintings and, especially, I have never seen such a collection of figurines of Degas so rich anywhere in the world. And finally, Van Gogh, Picasso and a painting by Modigliani. And then lots of other things, such as the sculptures in the garden, including Rodin. If one passes through Pasadena cannot help but see it. The only flaw, not working on wifi and you can't use the app for that, if you have a tablet without SIM.

  • If it's a lovely day, do wander through the Sculpture Garden. Lots of Henry Mooore sculpture, but others as well. We saw the special exhibit of Picasso's lithographs. The exhibit was expertly and wond...  more »

  • The Norton Simon is a famed museum and for good reason. It has a large and amazing collection of European and Southeast Asian art and works. There are also sculptures located outside the building and an amazingly beautiful garden and lily one. Definitely worth visiting. They take part in art walk and other events so if full price is beyond your means there are still ways to see the art for free or discounted,
  • I always enjoy conning here. This is sick a peaceful place to enjoy art. I love seeing the Vangogh Mulberry tree each time. The garden and cafe are terrific. Many mediums and eras on display. We became members!
  • Beautiful museum. I went with a school group where they did a tour before the museum opened to the public. The kids had fun and learned about appreciating art as well.
  • This is a small gallery but with a wide-ranging and deeply thoughtful collection, ranging from 14th to 20th century European art on one level, a separate level containing South and Southeast Asian art and a beautiful sculpture garden. I was caught up in the European art and did not make it to the Asian level in the time available to me. But the European art alone is worth making the time to visit. Interspersed among the collection are small and large masterpieces. I particularly appreciated seeing Rembrandt, Goya, Lippi, Cézanne, Pissarro, Picasso, Vuillard and among the sculptures, Giacometti and Hepworth. The entry to the gallery is a beautifully serene walkway, which sets the scene.
  • Most beautiful museum in California. We enjoyed the walk through the Japanese garden and had an excellent coffee there - peaceful place with great art.
