  • Been going here since I was a kid and keep coming back. Great place for boats, jet skis. It can be very crowded on holidays and hot in the summer. Best times to go are Oct, April, May. Visit the float...  more »
  • This park is great for family camping. It has RV and tent camping, hiking trails, dump station, toilets and shower area. It also has a basketball court, horseshoe pit and playground for all kinds of f...  more »
  • When I arrived, I switched my booking from spot 23 (ugly) to a cabana since I am in a very small van camper and didn't want to be lined up with the rvs. A bit weird to sleep on the road but my little ...  more »

  • First timer and all I can say is wow very nice and they keep it up kept showers are clean Campground was overall quiet at night the ranger that was on 6 23 2017 in the evening made our experience even better when we pulled up to the guard shack for the first time very thoughtful and kind man also very knowledgeable about not only the state park but things to do in the area definitely will be coming back here many times for many years 6-24-17 once again a very pleasant evening Ranger Wayne is the best Ranger that I've met in a long time very kind and very knowledgeable this park is very lucky to have him my family do a lot of State Park camping and it's not every day that we find a Ranger like him if you're contemplating on camping here you need to stop contemplating and just come this park is 100% legit and 100% family-orientated
  • Beautiful park, amazing scenery, truly a gem of our great country. The river was unbelievable- clear, clean, refreshing. Reasonable rates, clean shower facilities, best chips and hot sauce ever! The ONLY drawback we experienced - NO enforcement of night quiet time - loud, profane campers wandered around our tent from 11:00 PM until 2;00AM. Texas State Parks handle this problem -
  • Where else can you sleep in the river and under the skies. We stayed on the 4th of July weekend so fireworks everywhere. Hot showers and restrooms cleaned daily. Very nice.
  • Good price, and right on the river. Has a small dog park and tons of parking on a great area of the river that is pretty quiet. You can also day rent cabanas on the waterfront.
  • Great place to swim and boat along the Colorado River. Not so great for camping during the warm and hot months but if you have an RV with AC this place is perfect. Has a market and a restaurant onsite too.
