  • This place is expensive, yes. If you can get your snow gear outside, do so. I got ski lessons and the kid snow board. A bunny lift was also in the package although I never used the lift. I had KC as m...  more »
  • Enjoying Mount Hood in March weather is funny if you love outdoors. We have such fun EVERY time we ski/board on the mountain. We especially love low crowds, easy parking and rain/ice/melting snow/furi...  more »
  • Horrible service in the alpenstube restaurant on 2-25-18 at about 5:30pm. The restaurant was NOT busy and was about half full. We ordered two baileys - coffee drinks when we sat down. It took 20 minut...  more »

  • It's funny that all the responses I am seeing from meadows are for the good reviews. I am appalled at most of the reviews given and the experience people received. Completely unacceptable. Anyways, I have been going to meadows for about 17 years now. 10 years ago I would have given it a 5 star, as they would go out of the way to make your experience enjoyable. Today not so much. The rental shop team was fantastic and they were very helpful! The older gentlemen in that building was super nice and always opened the door for me and was very informational. But the staff in the bar was just appalling. The hostess said the bar was available, so I stand in line for 10 min to get a drink and there was no seating. I was curious what was upstairs and the other hostess for that section looked at me like an idiot for asking and acted very entitled. So I basically stood there awkwardly drinking my drink with no where to sit. Not much of a bar in my opinion. I went into the shop to get a stomp pad and the people at the front registers were very friendly. I came back because I was debating getting another and just to look around since the first stop in was just a quick one and I needed a parking pass. The manager or person working there not in a uniform looked at me as if I was stealing something and kept looking at me like a criminal. The guy who rang me up thought I wanted an annual parking pass not a day (my fault, I didn't specify) and was very apologetic and nice, he gave me a refund. A big suggestion other than the entitled bar staff is that the unloading section for the buttercup was just not very functional. It takes a hard right and being a beginner lift it should just go straight. My step son and many others I noticed had trouble getting off the lift because of it, causing hold ups. Love the new lift pass things that look like I am at the airport. Not sure when they were installed, but very impressive.
  • Brought our two 16 month kids and some friends here on a hot summer day. We came here to get up on the mountain but avoid the crowds at Timberline. My friends are not really hikers so they enjoyed seeing the mountain yet having access to clean bathrooms, food and some drinks. The hike to Umbrella Falls was great. Sure, it's not a wilderness setting but if you were inclined you could easily hike up above and away from the lifts. Basically its a great alternative to get good views of the mountain and enjoy some mountain scenery.
  • Great, (beginner to expert) Terrain, great and friendly staff, great (reasonably priced) drinks at the bar, amazing food with big windows to veiw the mountain and events. From what I've been told, the 7 terrain parks are amazing and also cater from beginner to expert including a SUPER pipe open to public after events. Tons of events to include yourself in, watch, or just catch a glimpse of as your riding the lift up. Not to mention the hiking, Scenic chair rides and mountain biking they have over the summer.
  • I’ve been to almost 100 ski areas in N America, this one ranks somewhere near the end of my list. I can name at least 3 New England ski areas that are better. Still for being so close to a city it’s better than not snow sliding. Way too expensive for what you get
  • You like snow? Well, this resort on the mountain, will give you your hearts desire of snow, all day long. You want to ski, well, be sure to take advantage of all the accommodations this facility has to offer. Care for some food, well, if it's food you want, well, you'll get it. Saw a note about service, well, given the amount of people that enjoy this place, it's understandable. It'd remind me of a day at the state fair, with bracelet day. What a crush of people or like the time i sold ice cream on the parade day with the sun beating down and I had only two hands.
