Word of caution to those that like to be part of the night and day life after Labor Day, Park City in general becomes somewhat of a ghost town. Many of the shops are closed and they don't open till af...  more »

The Canyons is one of the best ski areas in the US. Great powder and lots of advance terrain. The village is a nice place to hang out after skiing. They usually have live entertainment at the outdoor bars.

Great day of riding with friends. I've been here 4 years ago when Canyons and Park City were separate and then in March 2017. Now they're merged and it's great! Two parks to enjoy. You'll need a week!

Amazing skiing trails and conditions when me and my friend went. We've been skiing for 15 years and it was the best skiing either of us had ever done.

I have a great time, every time I'm at the Canyons Village. Great music all year round. It's fun to ride the little gondola from the parking lot to the village. Several great fire pits with seating all around to enjoy in the winter. They even offer smores to all the ski school kids at the end of their ski lessons, using the fire pits to warm up the marshmallows.

I love this base area! Its much nicer then the Park City Base. The convenience of staying at the Grand Summit or Sundial Lodge is great! It so nice to come down from skiing all day and sit around the fire pits. Drinking a beer or hot chocolate from the umbrella bar. Just relaxing and hanging out with friends or family. The shops and restaurants that are in the village are amazing as well. The people that work in them are very helpful and friendly. I live down in Salt Lake and have to say parking there is so easy. Whether you're on vacation or just coming up for the day. I would highly recommend checking it out!

Where to stay in Park City

Most Park City hotels raise room rates significantly during the height of the ski season, so shop for bargains a few months before your trip. If you arrive during the city's world-famous film festival, expect to pay a bundle for rooms well out of town. The easiest way to avoid the crowds and stay economically may be to choose one of the city's bed and breakfasts, which offer comfortable rooms packed with modern amenities and easy access to the area's ski resorts.
