(480+ reviews on the web)
Zoo / Aquarium Nature / Park
See an array of creatures from around the world, including a number of rare and endangered inhabitants, at the non-profit ZooWorld Zoological Conservatory. Wander the zoo's garden grounds, arranged around a lake, and keep your eyes peeled for fan favorites like the jaguar, Bengal tiger, and kangaroo, along with lesser-known animals like the siamang, spectacled bear, kinkajou, and more. For an even closer encounter with the animal residents, try signing up for a personal meeting with the zoo's lemurs, where you can hold the furry critters in your own hands. Alternatively, you can opt for hand-feeding leaves to a giraffe. For travelers who use our international travel planner, Panama City Beach holidays become easier to arrange, with trips to the ZooWorld Zoological Conservatory and other attractions mapped out and timetabled.

  • It was really cool, they have a lot of animals and they reasonably priced. They also allow a lot of interaction.  more »
  • This is a great little zoo! Where else can you actually get one on one time with a lemur? The animals are so close to you! You can actually pet many of them!  more »

  • This is an awesome place to come see in Panama City Beach! Animals are well taken care of and healthy and the facility is professionally maintained with care. A variety of animals here to see, as well as a petting zoo. We had a great time getting up close and personal with the giraffes. You get to feed all the colorful birds in the enclosure and if you stay still enough, they might just hop on your hand. Overall awesome experience! Worth making the trip to. :)
  • I don't understand the reviewers with bad experiences here. Our family, including my 10 month old loved this zoo. Animals were active and habitats were clean. Many of the habitats were larger than some at larger zoos I've been to. You could really get close to the animals here unlike at large zoos, and most of the animals were curious towards the visitors. All of the zoo staff were friendly and look like they enjoyed their jobs. Pathways were perfectly fine, even with a stroller. Everything was clean. We will definitely return on our next visit!
  • Very clean, with nice enclosures for the animals. There's a feed deal where you get food for giraffes, birds, and for the petting zoo for $10. Great deal. Staff are always around to answer questions. You can also pay more to have one on one time with lemurs, giraffes, and kangaroos. I've done all three, and they were great. Very patient and helpful staff.
  • Nice little zoo in the heart of the city. While it didn't have a vast selection of animals, they all appeared to be well fed and cared for. For $10 you also can get a cup of feed for the farm animals, bird feed sticks, and feed the giraffes. We have a zoo membership to a different zoo, and have never had the opportunity to be as close as we were here: awesome experience!! The lions also were close and not behind glass. Great way to spend a few hours away from the beach, and you can even leave and come back in the same day.
  • Rude guest service manager didn't even offer an apology for any of the following issues. Her statement was "What do you expect? It's been here since 1947!" Part of pathway leading around lion exhibit was completely flooded with what smelled & looked like sewage (see pics below), if you ate handicapped or in a wheel hair stay away! This is a very dangerous place for wheelchairs, canes, walkers etc. Broken pavement up in air, uneven pavement on walkways...some by 6 inches plus!! Drink machine kept money ($2.50 a bottle), snack bar sign said 16 Oz water & soda $2.00 attendant charged $2.50 plus tax. When we asked why sign said $2.00 she was argumentative and said we're getting a new sign but it hasn't come in yet. We didn't have a problem paying $2.50 if the sign had said $2.50. We visit Zoo World everytime we go to PCB but this time was a huge disappointment & waste of money! Spend your hard earned money elsewhere!
