We did the Royal Swim with the dolphins for my daughters 12th birthday surprise. She absolutely loved it. Her favorite part was the foot push trick where the dolphins push you and it is like you were ... read more »
By looking at the outside of you building, you don't expect much, but once inside, the amount of animals they have will shock you. The photo opportunities are great!
The main reason we went to Gulf World was so that our adult son with Down Syndrome could have an experience with the dolphins. We were a little apprehensive because we didn't know how he would react b... read more »
My daughter and I did the dolphin encounter and had a blast. It was a lot of fun. My daughter is two so her ticket was free, however be mindful that if your kid can't have both feet flat on the ground that you must hold them at all times (which is kind of hot in the summer heat). I loved that with our tickets we got $20 in dolphin bucks that we could use in the park. Our $20 bought our entire lunch for three of us plus two popcorns. The dolphin show was awesome and it warms my heart to think that the animals are truly cared for. However, the one thing I was disappointed in is the lack of fish in the aquarium. The aquarium potion was small with few "fun" colored fish - in my eyes, not even really worth seeing.
Great entertainment for the family, Dolphin show was great the trainer's definitely make sure you are entertained, my Daughter swam with the dolphins in the trainer made sure it was a great experience for each person involved wonderful place!!
My family enjoyed swimming the dolphins. Thank goodness, there was only 6 people in their group so they were able to spend time with the sweet dolphin Angel. We were sitting there cooling off for a minute (it was 95 degrees) and watching the dolphins swim after the show and asked to leave. Apparently you are not allowed to sit and watch the dolphins swim? The photographer for the swim adventure was very rude and snappy to my 8 year old daughter. I realize they deal with the public alot but this is a very exciting time for younger children. Also, at 4:30 they start putting all the animals up so you have to get there early to see the animals.
My husband and I really enjoyed this place. It's a great price because they do multiple shows and the shows are pretty good. The food wasn't too expensive. Friendly staff.
The staff was rude, the ONLY nice one was the guy taking pictures. They did have two photograph. So I'm not sure who took which picture I will discuss in a minute. I didn't realize you can get a wristband for pictures . If you get a wristsband its $30 and you can take a pic with all the animals. And if you don't purchase the band you will have to pay$15 each time to take a pic. They do not tell you about the bands and I think that's horrible customer service. It wasn't really pack when we went and when we were taking pics with the animals, they were rushing us. I can understand if it was busy but it wasn't. And the picture aren't good. In one picture an employees'hand is in the way and my dad held my son for a picture with the parrot. They could of told him to lower his arm because the parrot was in the way of his face. But No. My niece did a meet and greet with the Dolphins and paid good money for it and the pictures doesn't come with it. It cost $90 for a cd with her buying the meet and greet. It should come with it. Disappointed. Also the girl who was doing to the meet and greet whisper to the photograph saying this one should be delightful.(but being sarcastic) They need to all take a class on how to treat customers and not try to be greedy with people's money. Hope they look at the pictures ,to make sure it comes out ok before the customer gets up. The only thing I can say that's good about the place is the shows.
