  • We used to drive in before these were built, and the scenery was lovely. Now, we see miles and miles of them from I-10, and every time, we go by, they are not even turning. Maybe that is good, as they...  more »
  • Never seen so many wind generators all sorts. In the UK we have only used wind power for a few years but here its been decades.  more »
  • It's a very windy spot, but bring your tripod and camera. We did not join the windmill tour, but was able to see a windmill closely.  more »

  • These things are HUGE! Last year, I saw a single blade of one of the turbines being transported on the road. Being that close to just the blade made me realize how gigantic these things are and how tiny I am compared to them. With that said, there are hundreds of these in certain spots on the mountains. Quite surprising to see when you're not used to seeing them. If you're visiting, definitely snap a few pictures of the turbines!
  • Haven't seen that much windmills my whole life. Different sizes of windmills but very picturesque area during a drive.
