  • I bought an entire case of wine at the end of April and it has all turned. Including their Nebbiolo, Brulee Chard, Barbera, and Cuvee Noir. We tasted a bottle of the Barbera the next day of purchase a...  more »
  • Most educational and lengthy tour. Best wine by far; try creme brûlée. Alex was great and made other wineries not able to live up to the experience or set expectation, and we came back (this was our f...  more »
  • Alex, the winemaker at Varaison, spent a great deal of time (roughly an hour) educating us and making us laugh on our visit. His wines are only available at the winery itself and are top-rated. The wi...  more »
  • It was our first time at Varaison and Ally was a wonderful guide! She was so attentative and super awesome! We had a lovely time and got some great wines after the tasting. It was informative and we would recommend it! Go Ally!
  • Great wine selection, free tastings with a bit of non pretentious wine tasting tips. They also have a reserve tasting for a nominal fee. Totally worth a visit.
  • Whoever 1 star Chad is, hes an idiot. It isnt a run of the mill in and out tasting. These people love wine and put a lot of effort into it. If your into learning a bit about wine and having a fun (albeit longer) tasting, this place is super cool. Im a beer enthusiast who is trying to learn a thing or two about wine, and it would be an understatement to say that the tasting guide was highly knowledgeable. I liked the Nebbiolo the most; Im a fan of pinot noir. Anyways, it was a super positive experience and I highly recommend it to people interested in wine and learning about it! You wouldn't go to Cirque Du Soleil if you like quick street performaces. This is the Cirque Du Soleil of Palisade wine.
  • Thanks for the tasting! Learned a lot wine drinking and left with a great bottle for home!
  • Unlike all the other wineries, they do blind tastings here. If you've tasted quite a few wines, this is a fun way to try to guess the wines while also getting some interesting wine education and tasting tips. If you are just getting into wine, come back to this one after you've tasted at several of the other places so you can get more out of the experience here. Since you're blind tasting here, you of course won't be able to pick the wines that you taste. It would be nice if they gave people the option to either choose from a list or do a blind tasting.
