  • In September, I traveled to Painesville, Ohio for the purpose of meeting with the owner and leadership team of Tartan Marine Company and booked a two night stay via an online bidding site. Following s...  read more »

  • This is definelty not your "to die for" place to stay. It's very dated and time warp like. The staff didn't seem to notice my entrance. Maybe from all the dark old wood. Carpet could use a good shampo...  read more »
  • The lobby area is beautiful. But the rooms are not that great. :/ Our refrigerator didn't work. When I first asked about it, they said that was the way it was going to have to be. Then the manager said they would get another. So I had to wait...the maintaince guy came with one after 10 pm! Slightly awkward having him wheel in another fridge that late at night. No offer for reimbursement or even to moved rooms. The bathroom had hair on corners and on wall in the tub. The pool was decent. Had stuff floating in the bottom like it hadn't been cleaned properly. Maybe I just had their one dud room and caught them on the wrong day, but I was not impressed.
  • Check in was quick and to the point. Setvice was excellent. I just slept there, seemed a little pricey for an overnight stay but otherwise good overall.
  • It was clean and quiet. My only negative comments would be that I requested to be part of a block, and they put me on another floor from my family. They changed my room pretty easily at my request. Also, the way the buildings are arranged, it can be quite a hike to get to the restaurants, but this is not unusual for a lot of hotels. The hotel restaurant is a bit expensive for the food they serve. And the Coffee bar was never open. All in all, we had a positive experience and would stay again.
  • Poor customer service. Called to book a room for a wedding and the "reservation specialist" said she didn't have a wedding under that name and would have someone call me back. Finally someone called back and the room was booked. I Called to assure early check-in and the individual I spoke with stated we could check in at our convenience and the room would be ready. When we arrived the room was being cleaned. Cleaning staff argued amongst themselves about who was doing what and how quickly they could clean the room. Unfortunately we did not have time to wait as we had a wedding to attend which left us with no other option than to change our clothes in the lobby bathroom and then leave our belongings at the front desk. When we arrived back at the hotel after the wedding we found our key wouldn't work so my husband went to the desk to get a new key...I stood and waited by the door. While I was waiting a gentleman approached the door and informed me that this was his room and proceeded to show me his key. Low and behold our room was given away. We were assigned a different room at this point with little apology. After at our "new" room the key wouldn't work ...again.
  • Room was somewhat dated but clean and nice. Lobby and surroundings provided a good atmosphere. Did not try the on site restaurant but Red Hawk Grill nearby was good and had character. Lots of free parking and good access to freeway and surrounding sites.
