Lower Antelope Canyon, Page

(4.8/5 based on 3,600+ reviews on the web)
Water and wind have carved Lower Antelope Canyon into and array of gentle shapes and colorful red sandstone textures. Rays of light pass through gapes above, creating a picturesque environment in the canyon. You can enter the passages using one of the staircases in the area and hike through these "spiral rocks arches," as the Navajo people call them. You will need a tour guide to hike into the canyon, which is a part of Navajo Nation Parks and Recreation Department. Be sure to take drinking water and wear comfortable shoes. You may want to carry your items in a backpack to make walking and climbing easier. • Appreciate the different formations of the Canyon. Not leave you wonder at each step. The colors, the light, the Earth. It is a unique place in the planet. It is worth to know him. I recommend booking in advance. Arriving while we had reservations, we had to do 1:30 hour's row, but when you're in the Canyon you forget. It is a beauty.

  • We did Ken's Tour of Lower Antelope and loved it! The canyon was beautiful and our tour guide was so helpful in knowing where to take the best photos. I was 22 weeks pregnant at the time and the stair...  more »

  • It was a hot and miserable day. But the moment I stepped inside the canyon i was taken to a place I never thought could exist. The mesmerizing patterns of the canyon makes this a must destination for anyone who likes photography. Make sure to take your SLR camera and a tripod and sign up for photo tour. It costs a little more but it is WORTH IT! you get your own guide, and cut in front of 1000 people in line waiting to get in under hot baking sun. Moreover the guides will stop the line of people to give you room to take photos. it is worth every penny.
  • I would never believe that just wind and flash flood could make such an incredible formation if I did not visit the lower canyon. Truly it is beyond imagination how beautiful this red soil is!!! I would love to go there again and again.
  • Haven't such thing so closely. Really a nice place to go. Feel that fees are bit too much. Note they charge $8 per person on top of $25 tour fee.
  • Price is 33 bucks, but definitely worth it. The Canyon formed by water and soil erosion. Scenic beauty, will get a soothing feel after visiting this place.
  • Brit was our guide. The place is amazing. Even though we went in the early morning there was plenty of light. Definitely will come back
