  • I don't want you to think this is the end all be all of railroad museums, but it is a good museum. We were only there about 45 minutes, but have no regrets buying the tickets and spending time there. ...  more »
  • I was there on a Sunday when the internal museum was closed, but i just loved looking at the Train and Railcars that are on display by the harbour wall. So great to see these old trains being preserve...  more »
  • This is a small museum and is therefore necessarily limited, but there are displays that would interest railroad fans. Probably the most interesting item is an interactive freight train simulator call...  more »

  • A sad excuse for a museum. Not much to see since all they have to offer is an eclectic mix of railroad artifacts and photographs without much coherence or explanation. They do have a working locomotive simulator and a working Centralized Traffic Control machine, but there are no real railroaders available to explain or demonstrate these exhibits, so they mostly sit there dark and untouched. The Illinois Central Mikado locomotive on the waterfront a block away does NOT belong to this museum, nor do they maintain it, despite their adoption of it as their "mascot." There is an O-scale train layout under construction, but it is just a small oval of track designed to amuse children and naive visitors. The only good feature of the place is their Gift Shop which sells the cheapest Paducah souvenirs in town!
  • Super friendly staff
  • I thought the museum was great!!! Obviously some people should be visiting museums in Nashville or a bigger city.
  • awesome place to learn about the history of Paducah and its industries! the people inside there are very nice.
