  • I walked through from one end of Pacific Grove to Asilomar Beach. Fantastic. The breakers were rolling in. When I got there around 10am one surfer was going in, by the time I left around an hour...

  • Path is well maintained and an easy fun walk. Sun set is a must see. Dog friendly on the north side of the creek that splits the beach.

  • I first went to Asilomar for a Mensa function while pregnant with my daughter Molly. The cafeteria food is great. You are in Pacific Grove, right at the tip of the peninsula of Monterrey. Remember....  more

  • Asilomar State Beach is a beautiful location that I stumbled across one day while down in Pacific Grove. It has a pretty boardwalk and a cool little gazebo to sit in and take in the views. It is definitely windy and gets pretty cold here towards the evening. Watching a sunset from here is worth it. Love all the sandy dunes and plants surrounding the ocean path and has stairs that take you down to the rock area if you want to get a closer view. Great views and quiet location.
  • Great views, not too crowded. Picnic tables every so often are a great feature. Boardwalk trail has some areas that need repair. Trash receptacles conveniently located along the road & well maintained.
  • Very nice beach. You can see beautiful sunsets. Make sure to get there before the sun goes down. Great natural light filters across the ocean and spreads out in a wonderful way.
  • Gorgeous beaches that are covered in shells and kelp. Incredible tide pools. Terrible parking when it gets loaded with tourists, so bring a pointy stick to defend your claim. This whole stretch of shoreline is prone to sneaker waves & strong undertow and rip currents. NEVER NEVER TURN YOUR BACK ON THE OCEAN. Every year, more than a few people get injured or die because they were caught off guard by a sudden large wave, even when the ocean looks calm. That selfie standing on the rocks isn't worth it.
  • By far, my most favorite beach! My soul feels at home, when I am here. It is a must visit place, for me, no matter how far we have to travel. The views are spectacular. -Regina
