Cape Kiwanda State Natural Area is a state park in Pacific City, Oregon, United States. Cape Kiwanda is on the Three Capes Scenic Route, which includes Cape Meares and Cape Lookout. Hiking to the top of Cape Kiwanda allows views of Nestucca Bay to the south and Cape Lookout to the north.A sea stack, named Chief Kiawanda Rock (note different spelling than Cape Kiwanda) is located 1/2mi southwest of the cape. It is one of three features along the Oregon Coast that are called "Haystack Rock," though the one in Cannon Beach is more widely known.

  • Nice beach to see. Big sand dune to climb at the end that gives you a couple different views. They also have a Haystack (like Cannon Beach). This one is actually taller but further out. There are seve...  more »
  • I love it so much I stay for 6 months. Great for picture taking. Only place to watch the dory fleet of fishing boats. Beautiful beach and great food. 
  • Who knew? I was skeptical when my 21 yo son suggested climbing the sand dune at Cape Kiwanda. It actually was a safe and hearty climb up a magnificently large dune. Great, dramatic views from the top....  more »
