  • I went there for field trips with my elementary class two years in a row. The owners are amazing. They operate and show the place. They give the tours and give a great history of the area and cave. The anthropologist on staff is knowledgeable and impressive. I would recommend this for the casual tourist as well as any cave lover. Highly recommended.
  • By far the BEST cave tour in the state of Missouri, very informative and interesting. The owners were extremely welcoming and friendly. If you go at the right time the regular tours are very small and feel extremely personal, unlike Fantastic Caverns or Meramec Caverns. For the price you get breathtaking views of a very historical cave along with a great history lesson. I personally went on both tours, the regular tour and the wild tour. The regular tour is great for pictures, while the wild tour is a more up close and personal experience with a cave. On the regular tour our guide, Eric, the archeologist, at the cave gave what I would call the funniest history lesson ever. He was very knowledgeable about not only the geological history of the cave but also the human history of the cave as well. As for the wild tour, all I can say is AMAZING. There isn't any other cave in Missouri that does anything close to this that I know of. The owner Kevin who is the wild tour guide was extremely nice and friendly throughout the whole tour and was willing to help if you needed it. The wild tour was something I will NEVER forget. In order to go on the wild tour you will need to book it about 24 hours in advance. When I booked mine we were set to be the only 3 people on it but another group from Florida, which I thought would have ruined the experience but it almost made it more enjoyable, not to mention the owners cut us a deal they dropped the usual $75 per person price down to $50 and gave us a free helmet rental. All in all, this was the best cave tour in all of Missouri so far, which is saying something because I've been in almost all of the show caves in the state.
  • We just visited the cave at a beautiful time of year. Spring had sprung and it was a beautiful, well maintained, walk to the cave through the woods. Our tour guide, Erik, was very knowledgeable about the cave from several aspects: The geology, native american history and other history about cave including its civil war era. I haven't visited many cave tours but enjoyed the tour with my kids (8yrs and 3yrs). My kids are very patient and well behaved, but the hour long tour got a little slow for them at some points. While the general tour is geared more for a tourist, you are also able to take a wild tour deeper into the cave at certain times. Nice little gift shop with a range of prices. My kids were excited just to get a few polished stones/crystals that didn't cost me more than a couple bucks.
  • We had a great time with our guide Eric Fuller. He was very entertaining and knowledgeable. He was also very patient with our young boys (5 and 2). We enjoyed the history and the spectacular sites of the land and cave.
  • It was a nice visit, cave was very interesting, we enjoyed having Kevin as a tour guide. He was very knowledgeable about the cave and kept you entertained at the same time. I would suggest stopping by and check it out. Nice people!
