3.6/5 based on 45+ reviews on the web
Heritage Square began in 1985 as a vision to preserve the historical and architectural uniqueness of turn-of-the-century Oxnard. It officially opened in 1991. Through the commitment of some of Oxnard’s original families, other investors, and the City of Oxnard, eleven homes, a church, water tower, pump house and storehouse have been moved to a single block and restored to their original condition. Serving the community as an event and cultural center and major tourist attraction, Heritage Square houses a community theatre and a variety of professional offices.

  • We stumbled on Heritage Square by accident and enjoyed walking around the old houses very much. There are a decent number of signs, and great place to eat, and even wine tasting. I wish more of the ho...  read more »
  • Nice place to come just to shoot the breeze. It was smaller than what I expected. Strolled around for less than 5 min and just ended up getting somthing to drink at the Dolce Vita restaurant.

  • It has a nostalgic feeling to it I had lunch here a couple of times with my girlfriend and both times the food was excellent and satisfying. I like the fact that the restaurant is located in a turn of the 20th century house.
  • Great architecture. Try the wine tasting place if you're ever there.

  • Heritage Square looks beautiful!! A place to avoid if you want a successful event. You wouldn't know it is in gang territory. Left a deposit for an event. Nobody would return our phone calls or email so we dropped by the office. We were told we need to hire armed guards and get insurance because of the crime rate. Restaurant owner would not return our phone calls after they got the deposit. Couldn't work with them to finish the event planning. We decided to cancel in October and the manager told us we would get a refund from the city. Called the city of Oxnard in December and they never heard of us. Don't go there unless you want problems. Just can't trust what they say. Big joke.
