  • I have been to the Arboretum twice now and have loved it both times. It is such a beautiful place to walk and see many different flowers and observe nature. The first time I was there I got to observe Red Bellied Woodpeckers in their home in a tree. This last time the Peonies were in bloom and I was able to see many peony varieties that I din't even know existed. I love their Garden Railway set ups as well, the person running the trains was quite nice to talk with. A great place to visit.
  • Low key but very pleasant. Entrance fee is extremely low. A great place to relax while enjoying a leisurely stroll. Gardens are nicely done and the wooded area has good trails and a pretty creek. It is a wooded area so have bug spray.
  • It's a beautiful place with many attractive areas. Be warned: take bug spray! We were there the day after a rain and the mosquitoes were awful. We were bitten constantly, and could not pause without being swarmed. We wanted to see the fairy houses and had great difficulty finding them. The directions we received were very vague, and there were no signs anywhere. We had almost given up when we finally got near enough that other patrons were able to direct us. The mulched paths were not suitable for any but an all-terrain stroller. It's a long trek for a toddler!
  • This place is real gem in Overland Park. Landscape is very beautiful. There is big pond which has turtles and big fishes. Kids would love it. There is very beautiful model train garden. Beautiful and long trails for walk. I spent 2-3 hrs with family and really enjoyed each moment.
  • Beautiful arboretum and gardens. Wear good hiking shoes as you will have to hike quite a ways to get to farther edges of the property. During summertime, the blooming flowers aren't abundant but the area is still green and well kept up.
