  • Weather had been rainy and with Fall just staring there wasn't a huge amount of blooms or colorful leaves. However I can hardly wait to return in the late spring. Lot of paths some paved some not.Gard...  read more »
  • This place was clean and the flowers and foliage were beautiful. A peaceful time to walk and enjoy the day.
  • We stopped at the Arboretum one evening to walk and view the foliage and gardens. Weather was simply spectacular and the grounds were very beautiful in the evening twilight. Nice trails to walk some p...  read more »
  • What a wonderful arboretum. They also honor reciprocal agreements though it is only $3.00. Lovely walking paths around a nice pond. Manicured lawns and with nicely arranged trees, flowers, ornamental grasses, and art pieces line the paths. Highly recommend.
  • I can't say enough great things about the arboretum. We are there at least once a week with our 2 and 4 year olds. Bring bread to feed the fish and turtles at Margaret's Pond. If you are looking for a more exerting walk, try the mulched hiking trails. The children's play area by the model train station is always a bit hit. We like the water days in the summer and love the Hedge Apple Arya day. I really enjoy the art walk, and rotating exhibits.
  • Simply the best garden I have visited to date. It is a massive stretch of land first off, and nearly every place you can walk to is filled with beautiful flowers and interesting art. The staff here is very kind and helpful, and admission is free on Tuesdays.
  • The Overland Park Arboretum is one of our favorite places. We absolutely love the Art, paved trails, gardens, and hiking trails. If you are reading this wondering if you should visit then you should come experience all that it has to offer.
  • I've been here twice and love how it changes from season to season. Plenty of plants and wildlife: giant Koi, turtles, birds, insects and lizards. Beware visiting during humid weather after heavy rains. The area has natural drainage and a lot of standing water... and mosquitos as a result!
