  • This is a short, easy hike to view a fairly spectacular falls. The hike takes about 5 minutes, but it feels steep at altitude. There is a small shelter at the base of the falls for viewing. The train ...  more »

  • Easy hike to beautiful falls! Our 2 year old was able to walk this one with little assistance from us, which she loved. The water is shallow enough that you can get close to the falls without worrying about getting swept downstream. We were there in July, so early melt-off may make the water a bit more quick moving and late fall may see it a bit dried up.
  • An easy hike from parking (or just about anywhere in Ouray) to some pretty nice falls. You can cross the river easily at the falls and continue a good distance along an adjoining trail system. The deer like it too, we saw three stags lounging calmly in the trees right off the trail!
  • Cool waterfall. Short hike but it's pretty steep. Wear shoes that have good grip.
  • Beautiful waterfall, very close to town. It's super easy to access with the base of the fall being just off main street and very close to the parking lot (less than a 5 minute walk). Definitely recommend stopping there if your in Ouray. Also has a few picnic tables.
  • Awesome water fall even when the creek is low! It is a beautiful water fall. You can hike all around it and see from any angle you want. This water fall is also great for kids because they can splashed by the mist and climb on the rocks. Totally worth visiting!
