  • Not even a hike, more of a short walk with steps. Kids and adults enjoyed it. Bring a camera with a telescopic lens if you can.  more »
  • This is a short, tourist hike, definitely worthwhile, especially with kids or those not interested in hiking very far to see awesome natural beauty.  more »
  • We lived this hike! Bottom of falls, top of falls, tunnel can walk to “Box Canon” sign, and access the Ouray Perimeter Trail. Who could ask for more?! The entrance fee is nominal and well worth the...  more »

  • The experience and views was much more than we expected. The canyon is just amazing to see and can only be seen within the park. The price to enter the park is very inexpensive and I can see how they need it to maintain it. Highly recommend a stop here. It is well worth it.
  • We had a great time at this amazing location. Walked up to the high bridge as well as down to the fall and other offers simply breathtaking views. Like others, I think $5 per person is too expensive, however I don't regret paying it one bit.
  • One of the most fascinating places and parks. It is a great hike up to view the canyon. There is a steel bridge to cross and a tunnel to walk thru to a hiking path. Close to the visitor center there is a path and walkway that takes you into the canyon. A must see kind of place.
  • Climbing above the falls is quite strenuous, but well worth it. At the top you walk across a sturdy steel bridge and then enter a tunnel. Duck your head if you are above about 5 '5". I think walking the lower level path is even more impressive. You walk within feet of the thunderous falls and feel the spray in your face... 5 stars
  • Beautiful spot in Ouray. It's a $5 entry fee, and worth checking out the falls. If you have bad knees, beware the stairs going down to the falls. It's not much of a hike, and if your health permits, it's worth checking out.
