  • Early into our one month in the USA and the experience staying at this camp site spurred us to do more. Lovely pitches amongst the trees. Short walk and you are on the beach. A decent sized river mout...  more »
  • My son's class spent the afternoon here on our second day in Newport during their spring trip. Some kids played frisbee while others explored the beach. We saw people in the water but it was way too c...  more »
  • This is a very well maintained state park. There's a camp host for each loop. The staff were friendly and helpful. We stayed there with our three dogs; it's very dog friendly. For a beach campground, ...  more »
  • Place is super popular. Very clean. Close to the beach. Small sites. Lots of the them. Wildlife on the beach is worth it all. Strict dog rules, kinda pissed me off seeing all the dogs tied up not being able roam.
  • Pretty decent state park. This review is for the day use area only. My first and only real complaint is that I believe there were only 2 handicapped parking spots. Definetly need more of those for a busy weekend. The gazebo, which you can rent out, is ideal for family reunions. Plenty of picnic tables otherwise. Restrooms are clean, for the most part, and have ample room. We visit here often and will continue to return.
  • I was at Ft Stevens the night before, what a difference! No Mosquitoes! I had big spray, but that only kept them from biting. Glad I only stayed there one night. This place has had a couple but I haven't even bothered breaking out the bug spray. The site spaces are much better too, much more private than the other. You can still see your neighbors but there are bushes and such between them that gives you a sense of your own space.
  • Great place to camp, in either a tent or RV. Nice little yurts available too, though in quite high demand! Short walk to the beach or nature trails from the campsites. It was quite windy beyond the shelter of the trees most days (May 2017), but the beauty of it all certainly made our visit here worthwhile (and a repeated venture!). Thank you, Oregon State Parks!
  • We loved this park! It's so close to the beach, and has awesome park rangers that are super understanding. We ended up having to leave a night early and it was about 3 hours after check out, and the ranger still gave us a full refund for that night. he was super nice and appreciative that we let him know we were leaving and made sure to follow through with the refund.
