One of the best maintained courses in the Lake area. The changes in elevation offer golfers variety and challenge. You won't want to walk this course so plan on using a cart. Reasonable priced for the... read more »
A little pricey for this type of course. Well mintained. This is a very hilly course with several blind shots. Several what I call quirky holes, where the layout doesn't make sense and rewards lucky b... read more »
Another course in the Osage Beach area well worth playing. We played in early April and course was in good shape for that time of the year plus it wasn't crowded and the price was right ($43 including... read more »
I've played several courses in the Lake of the Ozarks area and this track was awesome despite not many people we talked to even knowing about it! Whether you pay $50 to golf it or $66 depending on the time of day, it is a beautiful layout and a challenge to say the least. As one other reviewer stated, HIT THE BALL STRAIGHT!!!! Everybody recommends Old Kinderhook, Osage National, The Cove, and The Ridge, but this place deserves to be at or near the top of the list for this area!
Went out for my brother's bachelor party weekend. This course being cheaper than the others we figured it would be less elitist...as most are. We were just a bunch of guys familiar with golf but not too great at it. Called in advance to make sure it was okay to bring roughly 10 of us out and was told the day was open and to come on out. We weren't rowdy or anything, we just liked golf and wanted to play. We got through our first round (of 9) and was offered half price for the back 9. About 6 of us accepted the offer. We were slow but no one was behind us waiting nor were we warned by the marshal for being slow ONCE. So we were having a blast enjoying our day. When we go to turn the golf carts in we were very politely informed (just kidding) by Bill I believe his name was that it took us X amount of time to complete the course and that we shouldn't play here anymore. Are you joking me? Not a, "hey guys this is a more advanced course and you should probably work on your game a little more before you try again." Not a, "hey by the way you took this long and we only allow for this amount of time per hole. I apologize but we have to keep a steady pace so maybe you should practice more and come back when you're better." No. We got a very stern, out of the blue "you took this long and maybe you just shouldn't come back anymore." We weren't being rude, we weren't being belligerent, we didn't even know we did anything wrong. The lack of customer service that Bill exuded represents the entire company and obviously worked because we won't be back. The sport of golf is for some reason insanely elitist and for a $40 for 18 round course we expected far better customer service. And by that I mean to be not treated like common scum for simply taking too long when we weren't causing anyone problems. This is by far the worst course I have ever been to simply because of our final farewell by the representative of the company and I would not recommend it to anyone ever no matter what.
My wife and I have played this course for the past 5 years. We eat breakfast, then some golf. The maintenance is incredible. Plush fairways, thick rough, and fast greens!! The halfway house is a must. A few beers and lots of laughs. Their entire staff is more than courteous. They're happy to serve you.
One of the most interesting and enjoyable layouts I've played. So many elevation and terrain challenges, and the only course that the 9th hole is further away from the clubhouse than any other. The staff is so kind to the HS golfers that I take there every year and the course is always is great shape for being March. Must visit!!
Reviews were right. Can't believe a course of this quality was so cheap to play. Tons of elevation change, beautiful, fast greens, and nice fairways. Challenging for me (a 10 handicap), but friendly enough for my wife to enjoy a well. A good variety of tee boxes for players of all skill levels. Definitely a hidden gem at the lake!
