WhirlyDome, Orlando

(4.2/5 based on 40+ reviews on the web)
WhirlyDome brings the sport of WhirlyBall to Orlando, along with the latest games, activities and the new Bloodhound Brew Pub & Eatery – Orlando’s new local hangout.

The WhirlyDome, Orlando’s newest and perhaps most unique attraction located in the heart of International Drive, is set to open its doors in and will introduce Orlando to the world’s first totally mechanized team sport – WhirlyBall.

WhirlyBall is best described as a combination of bumper cars, basketball, Jai-alai and hockey. The game is typically played 5-on-5, with players piloting WhirlyBugs (high tech bumper cars) as they use a scoop to pass and shoot a plastic ball at their opponent’s goal while bumping and blocking their way around the court. Games have a referee to enforce the rules, keep score and make sure all players have a great time. The game requires no prior experience – and absolutely no athletic skills at all! Already popular in Chicago, Detroit and Atlanta and other cities, WhirlyBall Orlando is sure to be a winner with two courts available for play.

WhirlyDome visitors can also experience the sights, sound and adrenaline rush of what it’s like to drive a Formula One race car. The WhirlyDome is home to the new Formula One racing simulator from Evotek Engineering – the first of its kind in the U.S. Created in Italy, this simulator is modeled after the F1 simulators used by professional racing teams.

WhirlyDome also offers Lazer Frenzy, where players navigate a maze of laser beams, haze and mirrors, as well as the latest in Laser Tag. Guests will also find pool tables and a variety of arcade games.

WhirlyDome isn’t just a place to play, it’s also a place to relax and unwind while enjoying a drink, lunch or dinner at Bloodhound Brew Pub & Eatery. Bloodhound Brew is a casual pub featuring local specialty craft beers and a full menu made from scratch with both indoor and outdoor seating.

WhirlyDome has multiple party rooms with complete AV capabilities and is ready to provide the food and fun for large corporate functions, family reunions and everything in between.

There is no admission charge at the WhirlyDome. Visitors pay only for activities that they take part in.

  • My husband and kids ages 12 and 13 had a blast playing Whirlyball. It was definitely worth a stop during our recent trip to Orlando. I saw smiles all around the entire time.
  • We have played several times here during the day and it is rarely very busy. They have food and drinks but we have not eaten here. The laser tag arena is very nice and the equipment is in very good sh...  more »
  • So, we totally stumbled upon this while souvenir shopping in Orlando. We usually go to this plaza because there are some worthwhile shops and we've always seen this huge odd bean of a statue outside. ...  more »

  • Went here for a work related outing, we all had a blast. The bar inside has a lot of variety, and is friendly for all ages. Definitely will go back now that I've experienced it. I also liked the amount of parking there is, since the area is very populated.
  • Great place, fun bartender. Awesome video games. Send the kids off to play and take a break, have a good drink from their stocked bar. Nice breeze on the patio, music is a little loud out there.
  • Alot of fun and good learning experience, like for example I learned my friend John navez is a dingus
  • Has a good array of games to play. The footballer statue in front of the building has interesting hair
  • Our group comes here at least 20 times a year to watch Formula 1 races on their big screen. The owners from day 1 have been more than accommodating and the staff is always on point. I'm a big fan of the Cuban sandwich, and they also offer a solid beer selection. If you're even remotely erasing fan you've got to try the Evo Tek F1 simulator! Make sure to say hi to Sam behind the bar too! Great dude to chat with.
